'Unable to load video" error message ever since IOS 14 update

try edit video.

I can’t because it says “Cannot Edit Video. There was an error loading this video.”

What is one solution to do when this is appearing?

Same issue here. Duplicating, favorite on and off does not work.

Hard resetting my iPhone worked for me.

1. Quickly press and release the Volume Up button.
2. Quickly press and release the Volume Down button.
3. Press and hold the Side button until the Apple logo appears, then release the Side button.

I have the same error message when I try to play any video on my iPhone 11 iOS 14.2 . These are videos I took only days ago and are unedited raw footage taken isi the same phone I am trying to play them on. Apple needs to wake up and say something.

Same problem here. Some (not all) videos give the error message. Some won't play at all.

The same videos in iMovie: some won't play. Some play only audio, not video (just black screen).

I was looking this issue up because it just happened to me for a 15 min video and I was going to be devastated if it was lost forever. I was going to try the advice to convert the video but wasn’t sure if it would load onto the website so I figured if it was in my files, I might be able to drag it over to be converted. Try hitting the ‘share’ button on your video and scroll down to ‘Save to Files’. It was a tedious process and I waited about 10 minutes for the video to be ‘prepared,’ and saved the video to my files. Once saved, The video began playing on its own again. Give it a try although I’m a few months late 😂

Having the same issue and there doesn’t seem to be anything consistent about it other than it only happens when I edit a video. Even then, it’s not every time I edit the video. It’s still random

Go to your name in settings, iCloud > photos and turn off photos then turn it back on, also make sure you have mobile data on for Photos

I found the workaround.

Simply toggle favourite video on and off and immediately video is able to load.

on ios 14.2 and this bug still exist! But at least there is a workaround
