Has anyone else had this issue? I upgraded to IOS 14 now I have to use speaker to hear my
phone calls due to the headsets volume being so low. Side note— I have not dropped or spilled anything on my phone.

I tried the fix on my 7SE for increasing the ear piece audio by turning off "Reduce Loud Sounds"/ This did not work. Audio is still to low to hear caller. Must use speaker phone. The previous bios had a sound adjustment slider which worked just fine. Is there going to be an upgrade bios to fix this issue?
I spoke to support this morning about my volume reducing when I’ve changed all the settings for it, she told me some people have shut off Face ID attention in accessibility & that solved the issue. Sounds ridiculous & it didn’t do a thing on my phone
I have the same problem and same feeling. Over the years the speaker has been getting weaker with the updates (same goes for the speakers of the iPads that we have at home), and now the headset volume is stupidly low as well. This ruins not only calls, but the whole brand experience. My iPhone is a business phone that will not be replaced just because Apple wants to force me with this regular sneaky downgrades. It seems like another strategy of programmed obsolescence. I honestly feel deceived and the last move of removing the chargers USB-c in the name of sustainability when most people has UBS-a is, in my opinion, extremely cynical.
Yes I have the same problem with my 8 plus. I also have low mic quality with IOS14. People said that they cant hear me clearly anymore, like my voice comes from a cave. I have two more IPhones (6s and SE 1st) and they work well.
Found a host of other folks who had the same problem (only with the Plus?) My wife has the 7SE and the volume is A-OK. I have scrapped my 7 Plus and went back to my 5SE. Just for info. Cleaning the screen did not help. Both the ear spkr and the lower spkr phone are low. Paid $30 to have diagnostic of phone. Found nothing.
I’ve been having the same issue with low quality music especially in the car so I went to music in settings and turned my equalizer off. It helped immediately. As a matter fact it worked so well it scared the crap out of me in the car because my volume just blasted so. I hope this helps because I tried every other fix myself love it but love music more so I’m glad it worked
All software is up to date. Still have the same issue.
Just checked, carrier settings are up to date. This doesn’t effect all of my calls either.

After ios 14.0.1 upgrade i could see phone volume become low and could not able to hear B side. Please resolve this issue at earliest. I am using Iphone 11

I have updated my iPhone with the latest update and the earpiece volume is very low???
i have been in to Apple and they said it must be a faulty phone... erm no..my phone worked perfect before the update!! It’s a scam to buy a new product, I’m sure!!
Same issue ever since the new update low ear volume on calls have to put on speaker now
