I don’t see an option for app specific passwords where the instructions indicate. iPhone SE2020

Yahoo mail says I need to set up an app specific password but I don’t see that option where both apple and yahoo instructions indicate.

You have to generate the app-specific password in your Yahoo security settings by logging in to yahoo.com, then use that app-specific password when you set up Yahoo mail on your iPhone. Click on your name/Account Info, then navigate to Account Security and choose Generate App Password.

The alternative is to install the Yahoo Mail app, which is actually pretty good. And you can also use it for 2 factor authentication with your Yahoo ID.
