No access to Wallet in IOS 14 in Thailand

I live in Thailand, but I'm from the US and my bank is there. Recently, I upgraded my iPhone X to IOS 14. In IOS 13, I was able to access credit cards in the Wallet app, even though Apple Pay isn't available here. Now, I can't access any of my cards. The Wallet "app" simply shows a screen with a single link to the App Store about boarding passes and tickets. I'm assuming that this is a change with IOS14.

This is problematic not only for me, but for Apple as well.

For me, I want to have access to my credit cards on my phone. Also, I'd like to buy some Apple stuff and I'd like to get and use an Apple Card for my purchases. But, it seems that now, the only way to get an Apple Card...is by using Wallet.

Maybe there is a workaround for this that I'm not seeing. If there is, please share.
