After updating to ios 14.01 my wifi calling drops out randomly. Happens with airplane mode on and off. Have done a complete restore twice, disable/enable the feature, and hard reboot. My carrier is Verizon. Anyone else having this kind of issue?
I just got off a long chat with Verizon and learned the following. Cutting and pasting what they told me.
This is a known issue. The alert states:
“Some customers with iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, or iPhone 12 Pro Max may be experiencing issues with making or receiving calls on Wi-Fi calling. Users may also experience drop calls with Wi-Fi calling.”
“Apple is currently working on this issue and will be releasing the fix in an upcoming software update, although we don't have an exact date as to when that update will be released. Some routers broadcast both a 5GHz and 2.4GHz signal. The 5GHz connection will be faster but have a shorter range. Have you tried connecting and using wi-fi calling with both of these signals from your router (if available)?”

iPhone 7 on 14.3 entering the chat here. Drops at about 2 min this week, last week was 5 min. Son has iPhone 8 also on 14.3 and... no drops.
Your setup looks like it confirms that 14.x.x is the problem. No problems before you updated to 14 ?
Has anyone tested 14.4 yet? Is WiFi calling still dropping calls?

Sad. If I can still return my phone. I will. Looking for another vendor.
Will test tomorrow. Some folks have reported still not working after upgrading to 14.4
Did it work? I have the exact same problem. I’m not sure it’s fixed.
Update here:
Calls yesterday all day. All were good and did not drop except one later last night. Dont know if this is a red herring or not. Will continue to test.
Still dropping calls. I'm trying the restore option via computer mentioned on page 2 of the thread.
Sorry not sure I understand. When you reset your network settings, your Wifi calling worked? No dropped calls while using WiFi calling?
I could not have said it any better.
Neither Apple or Verizon say the problem is theirs. Have no idea what to do at this point.
I just tried this, fingers crossed that it works!
Same issue here. A WiFi call can come in but always drops.
