wifi calling ios 14

@hbudovsky, I appreciate the thoughts and tips, but I just spent 6 hours doing this and the problem returned within 20 minutes.

Same problem. ATT. IOS 14.2. Ugh. Very frustrating.

Yes same issue on iPhone 12 mini. Drops WiFi calls only when I talk to another person using a iPhone 12 or updated to 14.3. It’s definitely a cell phone or iOS 5g issue. They need to fix this ASAP.

Not sure I understand. You do not have to turn off Wifi in total. Leave WiFi on. Just turn off Wifi calling.

I agree. Wifi calling does need to be fixed.

yesterday I tried a suggestion from Verizon that so far 🤞is working.

I considered that as well, but this happens to mesh and non-mesh networks for me.

I have the issue and do not have a mess network.

I don’t have a mesh network-I’m on a 11 pro running IOS14. Had to turn WiFi calling off.

Correction anyone have a network provider other than Verizon?

Issue is with iPhone 11 too as I’ve read quite a bit and have told Apple and Verizon.

I had it with the X as well. Given that she said it’s a software update I imagine it’s what we all think, ie IOS14. (I asked if I should just ask Apple for a new phone)

The screen time was just a coincidence. The range of 5GHz vs. range of 2.4GHz seems to be reproducible every time on two different phones.

Isn’t what you’re describing expected, though? If you are on a 5 ghz band, the connection gets weak far easier than a 2.4 ghz band as you distance yourself from the router.
