MacBook Pro LCD not working after crack

I cracked the left side of my MacBook Pro 16 inch from the pin on the Apple Watch Sport Band hitting the back of the display. The crack would be small enough that I could just suck it up and use it without getting it fixed since i Just got the machine. However, Now I'm not getting any output at all on the display. I can use an external just fine, but what's going on? Could one little thing like that really cripple a brand new laptop's display?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 10.15

Greetings, g28ross.

It appears that the screen of your MacBook Pro has a crack on the left side, and it's not working. You note that the external display works just fine however, and we're glad to help with this.

Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac – Apple Support -- See if resetting NVRAM resolves the issue.

Get Support - If the display still isn't working, please contact Apple Support. After selecting this link, choose Mac notebooks. Type "display" in the Search topics field and choose "Display issue" from the Results. Then start your conversation with Apple Support.

Take care.
