How to get rid of the Sleep/Wake up section in Alarms; came with ios 14.

So the Sleep/Wake up section on my alarm page.

I have never used this facility and never plan to.

With ios 14 it has appeared at the top of my alarms and I want it gone.

A search of this page suggested when it happened with ios 13, just go into General and do a reset, this didn't work with ios 14. Anyone know how to get rid of that piece of junk I don't want?

There isn't a Sleep/Wake up option on the bottom toolbar to enable me to remove it, as noted in posts about 13.

I went into Health but as I had never set anything, there was nothing to undo and there appeared to be no 'remove' button

Thank you So Much Jjames90!

I am posting some instructions below, including yours.

I really have NO IDEA WHY APPLE NEEDS TO AUTOMATICALLY SET AN ALARM ON A PERSONS PHONE EACH DAY. Because APPLE AUTOMATICALLY SETS AN ALARM ON MY PHONE, I have been wakened in the middle of my unusual sleep time about 100 times and often have Not Been Able to Get Back to Sleep.

To Stop iPhone from Controlling Your Life AND Automatically Setting an Alarm at a Time You Don't Want:

For some reason Apple Automatically Sets an alarm on your phone each day. To see the alarm that Apple Automatically Set open the Clock App. The first entry is "Alarm Sleep Wake Up", which for some reason APPLE AUTOMATICALLY SETS (It's wakened me up early about 100 times, as I have a non-normal sleep schedule.)

To STOP APPLE FROM AUTOMATICALLY SETTING AN ALARM ON YOUR PHONE:

Open the Health App.

Tap Browse (bottom right, 4 small squares).

Scroll down and Tap Sleep.

Under Your Schedule Tap the Sleep Schedule button OFF.

If the above doesn't work you can set your phone so APPLE IS ABLE TO ONLY SET AN ALARM ON YOUR PHONE ONE DAY A WEEK (RATHER THAN THE SEVEN DAYS A WEEK APPLE AUTOMATICALLY SETS AN ALARM ON YOUR PHONE). Do this:

Open the Health App.

Tap Browse (bottom right, 4 small squares).

Scroll down and Tap Sleep.

Under Full Schedule, tap Edit.

Choose one Day to be Active and set your Bedtime and Wake Up times.

Doing this results in you ONLY HAVING TO REMEMBER TO CHECK YOUR CLOCK ONE DAY A WEEK TO STOP APPLE FROM AUTOMATICALLY SETTING AN ALARM ON YOUR PHONE.

Just to point out ... this behavior is specific to iOS through the Health app (as has been mentioned).

That means that iPads don't have this behavior in its Clock app because iPads don't have the Health app. So that's a workaround if you have an iPad.

Otherwise, a mitigation in iOS is to open Health app, scroll down to Sleep, scroll down to "Your Schedule." One thing to note since it's not obvious is that if you have a Schedule set, you can change or edit it on a daily basis. The default, I believe, is everyday. You can just toggle off all but one day and then limit that to a specific time period for sleep.

If it's already OFF I wouldn't mess with it further.

But again, it doesn't appear as though you can get rid of the screen heading "Sleep | Wake Up" regardless of your Health app Settings.

So….as I’ve commented above…I’ve gone into sleep and tried to turn everything off as is possible. I recently did this again because I’m so **** tired of being awaken at 4:35am on my days off!!!!! Now..:I don’t usually turn my phone off too often. But…I did not too long ago and it seems like my 4:35 muster Alamein has not come on lately. I can’t be 100% sure but it MIGHT be worth opening up Sleep app and making sure there is no sleep schedule and then turning off and restarting your phone. I notice my music that annoyingly plays when connecting to my car radio….I deleted my music from device and even though I have celiac data disabled for iTunes/music it would STILL PLAY!!!!!! But once I turned the phone off and back on it seems to have solved that. Well…sucks that I can’t have music on my **** phone anymore. Growing to hate apple more and more…

OMG!!!! It is AWFUL Apple has created an automatic alarm setting I can’t turn off!!!!

Ive spent a couple hours doing internet searches trying to turn it off and can’t!

about once A week I forget to reset it when I go to bed and it wakes me up I the middle of my sleep time and I can’t go back to sleep

Apple — please give me the option to turn off the alarm YOU automatically set!

Apple: Please allow people who pay a large sum for your phones to manage their own alarms in the Sleep wake function.

ie Please don’t control our phones by automatically setting an alarm thru the Health App!

I know you want to push us users to your Health App but Not giving us an ability to set our own alarm clock times is AWFUL CORPORATE BEHAVIOR!!!!!
