August lock constantly displays "Unlocking..." in iOS Home app

I have a 4th Gen August WiFi smart lock on my front door. It locks and unlocks fine over WiFi or Bluetooth using either the Home app or the August App. But the little tile in the Home app displays a little spinner in the upper right corner and says "Unlocking..." -- whether the lock is locked or unlocked. Everything works, except for the annoying, constant status "Unlocking..." This constantly updating status is displayed in the Home app on iOS (14.0.1) on my phone, and on my iPad (iPadOS beta 14.2), but in the Home app on my Mac, the tile displays the status correctly.

First we would like to verify the August Lock app is up to date using this article: Update apps or use automatic downloads
