How can I get an external webcam to work with the latest os?
MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.13
To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...
Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.

My external webcam worked until I updated to the latest os. Now the indicator light is on, I've tried all ports, and it's not available on any apps as an option for video.
