Error message in email. 'Unable to store credential'

I get an error when truing to set up an email account: "Unable to store credential due to error -25291" when trying to set up Apple Mail on new iMac. This is a new 27-inch iMac (2 days old) running Catalina 10.15.7.

I notice problem this has been around for a while but I have not run across a solution. Any suggestions? below is a photo of the notice.
