black and white lines on ipod touch

My daughter dropped her iPod Touch, 7th generation and now there is a black screen with white vertical lines running up and down it. I force quit and it restarted and there were white, jumpy lines on the home screen. I shut it down and when I restarted the phone, the white lines are still there.
