Apple TV 4th Gen tvOS 14 Pause / Unpause issues

Ever since my Apple TV updated to tvOS14 it seems confused as to when it should be paused or unpause. There are a couple ways this is manifesting (see below). None of the issues below happened before the tvOS14 update. Today I updated to the very latest version tvOS 14.0.2 (18J411) and the same things are still happening.

1) Whenever I select something to play it always starts paused, usually with a black screen, then I have to hit play another time once the video is launched to actually make it start playing properly. This happens regardless of whether it's Netflix, Amazon, Apple TV+.

2) Whenever I pause anything, as soon as the screen saver starts it automatically unpauses what I was playing. The audio of what had been playing can be heard over the screen saver but it is still showing the screen saver screen. I have to manually re-pause, then unpause to get the video to show again. This is particularly annoying because if I pause what I'm watching to do something like answer a phone call, after 5 minutes the screen saver kicks in which unpauses what I was watching and the audio starts playing on it's own.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

I am also having the same issues with my AppleTV HD, with TV OS 14. When 14.1 came out I even downloaded the .ipsw file for 14.1 and plugged my Appletv in to my MacBook Pro and clean installed 14.1 on it. It did not fix the issue. The "unpausing" when the screen saver comes on still happens and it does not matter what app I am using (Netflix, HBO Max, Disney TV+). I hope 14.2 fixes this issue.
