Can't download large MOV files from iPhone to PC

I've had this problem for a long time across different models of iPhones. Found the answer thanks to a YouTube post. Apple doesn't allow sharing YouTube (to give credit) so I'll describe what to do.

Open Settings
Scroll down to Photos and select it
Scroll to the bottom to the section called "Transfer to mac or PC"
Select "Keep Originals"

Now the Windows Photos app doesn't quit part way through a sync, and I can manually copy files from the iPhone to the PC in an Explorer window without getting a message saying the device can't be found. Saved me a lot of headache. Just wish I would have found this years ago!

Airdrop worked fine for the past couple years and wouldn't transfer via iCloud have worked too?

I’ve never found a way to airdrop from iPhone to Windows 10. The file never synced with iCloud. Maybe because it was too big. Anyway, I’ve seen lots of forums where hundreds of people had this same problem. I couldn’t reply to those so I added a new post. Hopefully it will help someone else.
