Got my beats flex's. Paired with phone. On my mac, I go to bluetooth and press connect on the beats flex. It says it is connected but all sound still coming out of my mac and nothing out of the headphones.

Ok I finally got it working with my macbook pro.
After this it started working with macbook fine but switching to macbook from iphone was not painless on first try, need to adjust things on macbook. But after second switch between them it was somehow normal.
Maybe better support will come with Big Sur.
I am having the similar issue. It will connect to my '17 iMac and my '19 16" MacBook Pro, but neither of them can select the BeatsFlex for audio. It appears to timeout trying to redirect the audio
Nothing I did would result in being able to switch audio from either MacOS device to the Beats Flex.
I have to imagine this was tested, no?
I tried that, but it didn't work. Like the original poster, I was able to get it to connect to bluetooth on the Mac and it shows up under the sound preference panel, but when you select it, nothing happens.
I noticed the same thing, but the audio quality of the headphones were terrible so I didn't trouble shoot that issue much more. I'm also running a MBP with 10.15.7 (Catalina)
same here. It connects to my two iphones and to my ipad, but struggles to connect to my mac
Same. What a massive disappointment. Going to return them. Not bothering with any troubleshooting.
My beats flex too! I cannot connect it with my MacBook Pro! I need help how to fix this.

Mines the same, It takes ages for me to connect aswell which sucks
Hello in my Mac Book Air with Catalina it is imposible to connect Beats Flex, it is terrible this problem, in a windows X yes I can. This support is unbeliable.
