Ok I finally got it working with my macbook pro.

  • First forget the beats flex on everywhere, iPhone, Macbook, iPad etc.
  • Then connect first on macbook then other devices.

After this it started working with macbook fine but switching to macbook from iphone was not painless on first try, need to adjust things on macbook. But after second switch between them it was somehow normal.

Maybe better support will come with Big Sur.

I was having the same issue. I upgraded my Mac OS X Big Sur And now the Beats Flex work perfectly with both my iPhone and and MacBook pro. I think it has something to do with compatibility with the new chips they are using in the beats flex. Note, if you used the beats flex with your iPhone last you will have to disconnect from the Bluetooth menu on your phone and connect again using the Bluetooth on the MacBook. Hope this helps
