Forgotten password

Hey, I have a problem. Today I bought my first MacBook air 2020. I created an Apple ID and created an email from apple and turned off my laptop. An hour later, I turned on my MacBook again and wrote me the message "Enabling Touch ID requires your password before I log in. The problem is, I have no idea the password for Touch ID. I completely forgot that password. I know my password for my Apple ID, but it requires a password to enable Touch ID. Can you help me how to reset the password or how to create a new one if I can't log in to my mac? (I don't have any Apple devices anymore, just a Mac.)

Power your Mac on and start with step 2 below:

If you associated your user account with your Apple ID, you can use your Apple ID to reset your login password.

On your Mac, choose Apple menu > Restart, or press the Power button on your computer and then click Restart.
Click your user account, click the question mark in the password field, then click the arrow next to “reset it using your Apple ID.”
Enter an Apple ID and password, then click Next.
Follow the instructions to reset your login password.

iCloud uses your Apple ID and password. There is not a different password for iCloud. If you have two Apple IDs then you could have two passwords but there is no option for two passwords if you only have one Apple ID.

Every time you turn on a Mac (even if you have Touch ID) it will ask for your Mac login password. If you have forgotten that, see the instructions in https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/reset-your-mac-login-password-mh35902/mac

Hi, Thanks for the reply. The problem is not with the Apple ID. I know my Apple ID password. The problem is that when I turn on the Mac, when logging in, it doesn't ask for the password for the Apple ID, but it asks for the password for the icloud around the Touch ID, so I can't log in to the macbook.

So I don't understand it at all. So how is it possible that on my Android mobile I can easily log in to my Apple ID via the Apple website and I can't log in on my macbook when I use the same password?

The password when you start up your Mac usually has nothing to do with your Apple ID.

My Apple ID could be xyz@gmail.com and the password could be CRAZY45678%%

My login user on my Mac could be Fred and the password could be Book123

I'm starting to understand. So I need to somehow reset the password to my macbook and not the Apple ID password. But how do I reset my password if I can't log in to my macbook? I logged in to my Apple ID on the website and I did not find the option to change my password there. I only found the option to change the password for the Apple ID.
