iPhone 12 not getting notifications

This is miserable. No message notifications or phone call notifications, or even emails when my phone is locked. Settings are all correct, everything has been double and triple checked. I am running a business and we all use these phones for a business lines. None of us have any way to know if someone is trying to contact us. Response almost 1200 per phone on this was the biggest investment waste of money we have ever made. This is a huge setback for Apple products and the fact that it has been broken for over a month with no repair in sight and no comment is absurd. Has anyone heard of any news about what to do. At this point I want to take all of our phones back but our old phones were disposed of so we have no other phones to add back to our company line. 😭😭

I have the same problem. Sometimes I will receive notifications from text messages, but other times I won’t. It’s like the message is there in my messages, but my phone wont go off, display the banner, the app icon, or show it in my lock screen. My notifications are on and I haven’t muted anyone in my messages. iPhone 12 for reference. Seems like it happened after my phone updated, but not sure. Super annoying because texting is my primary mode of communication.

Well I think I have fixed it for me. Listing the steps here, perhaps it will work for you!

1. log into your icloud id or ids if you have more than 1 on a web browser on your iPad or laptop. Not on your iPhone.
2. top right corner go into iCloud settings and scroll down to where it shows you all your devices associated to your iCloud Id
3. Delete every single device from each of your iCloud ids. In my case, I had my old iPhone was attached to one of my ids.
4. then log into Facebook on your browser, not app, and go into settings and then security. Look for a list of your devices logged into and log out of each device. Do that for any other app that you are not getting notifications for.
5. now go back to your primary new iPhone 12, uninstall end reinstall each app you logged out of.
6. Make sure that in your iCloud settings for iPhone 12, no other associated device shows up. You can add an iPad or MacBook later.
7. Log back into your apps and this should all work.

I have the same issue. My iPhone 12 misses text notifications. I will not know if someone responded to me unless I open the messaging app and go into our conversation. All my settings are correct. I have spoken with 3 people and they could not figure it out. I was instructed to reset all settings and that did not work. I have the recent software update and still have the issue.

I feel for you, I’m now having trouble with SMS as well as email, and had to do a force restart in order to read my message which flashed on the Lock Screen, disappeared when I swiped up and all that remained was a message indicator on the app with no content when opened. I wish for everyone’s sake that Apple would tell us if there was a software issue with a timeframe to fix it. You have to train yourself to keep looking at the phone regularly to see if you have mail etc!

I have found that the only way to get the notifications on my phone is to ensure it’s not connected to anything Bluetooth. I’ve even stopped wearing my watch as when my phone was connected to that I would not get notifications. Turn Bluetooth off and make sure it’s not connected to anything else and I get notifications as normal

Agree it’s not fixed the issue. I was hoping me being logged into my iPad Air was causing the issue but I’ve switched off the notifications on in there and it’s still causing an issue with no audible alerts for any YouTube subscriptions

So Triga23, does that mean you do receive all your notifications if you turn Bluetooth setting off? You on iOS 14.3? (I'm just so tired of changing settings and trying to see what combination of things "might" fix).

Yup that is correct. I no longer where my Apple Watch and don’t connect my phone to anything Bluetooth and I get my notification. I updated my phone last night and still no change when connected to my watch. I notifications on phone

Thanks! So sad to me that I only recently bought Apple Watch Series 6 (my first Apple Watch) and it's looking like I'll have to abandon it in order to have my iPhone work). My current workaround has been to keep my iPad mini nearby, because the Notifications that don't get to my iphone do pop up there!

Just got done talking with Apple support on this problem. After updating the iOS to current, I had to uninstall / reinstall and do a fresh login on the ones that were not giving me notifications on the Lock Screen. Seemed to solve the problem. GMAIL was the main one for me, and this fixed it.

Same issue here on 12 Pro Max (14.3).

Notifications only work for apps that do require logins (although I had to re-sign in).

For other apps no push notifications at all, e.g CNN, BBC, Sky News

Text messaging is ok.

I’m finding the same thing. If I log into the app, the notifications are starting to come in. Finally!!!!

Have you tried putting your clock in auto?

I have tried that. No luck. It is working for only 4-5 apps. Apple needs to fix this urgently.
