iPhone 12 not getting notifications

I set up my new device, and my notification settings are turned on and the same as my previous phone, but I am not getting notifications on the new device. My old device, connected to Wi-Fi, is getting notifications. Again the settings I checked and they are all the same on both devices.

Can someone please help me to get my notifications?

Thank you

  1. Go to General > iOS Storage.
    • On some older iOS versions, it is called Storage & iCloud Usage.
    • If you select that option, choose Manage Storage on the next page.
  1. Tap the Hangouts app from the list to see how much space the app is taking up
    • It should show how much space is the app itself or just its associated documents and data.
  1. Select Delete App
  2. Confirm it once more to remove the app from your iOS device.
  3. Go to iTunes store and install Hangouts iOS app
  4. Accept all permissions.
  5. Test.
  6. If you still have issues, send in-app feedback from the classic Hangouts app.

I too have had this problem and tried many things. The reality is this phone, like the several HomePods I have are full of bugs. So I don’t rely on it. I have a Ring Chime and an old iPad mini with wifi and cellular service for redundancy of important security related notifications. I periodically call support and recently went into the Genius Bar thinking my 12 pro max $$$ is defective - but all tests okay. So I either continue to be a beta tester turning on logging and going back-and-forth with some advisor or I just accept that Apple quality has declined. My fanboy status is already expired.

I figured it out!! If you go to Settings, Notifications, then the specific app, you should have: locked phone, notifications and banners checked. But then, look under the list of apps under Notifications, it only shows “Banners”…it doesn’t show Sounds and Badges. To fix this, you have to: Delete the App, Download the App again, open the new App, it’ll ask if you want to Enable Notifications?, say Yes. That’ll fix it! Now if you go look at Notifications under Settings, you’ll see it’ll show all: Banners, Sounds, Badges.

Hello everyone,

I've bought the iphone 12 mini in april 1st. And have also the problem about not getting notifications. Like for example, if my phone is blocked, I don't get any notification from whatsapp messages when they arrive.

I do have the airpods version 2, and apple watch recently series 6.

How can I report this to apple?

Best Regards,

Daniel
