Hi everyone!
I just unboxed my iPhone 12 Pro yesterday. I’ve filmed some short videos via the camera app and later uploaded them to my Instagram Stories.
The videos looked normal when uploading, but as soon as I posted them they suddenly appeared overexposed, super bright. I tried posting on my newsfeed to the same effect.
Has anyone else had this problem? What am I doing wrong?
Hello! I was the same - only around 50% of my followers could see the overexposed video.
It appears that Instagram has fixed the problem with their latest update.
If it’s still not working, try turning off HRD. Head into Settings > Camera > Record Video > Turn Off HRD Video.

I even have problem when look at the videos in Photos. At first the video appears bright yet when i start playing the video becomes darker. Very annoying.

I got my iPhone 12 pro max on Friday the 13th and I am having the same problem. Is there a way to convert the videos I already made? Because I did like a whole shoot for my business 😭
Its not only instagram. Its basically everything. All social medias. Instagram, tiktok, facebook.
I have the same issue but with YouTube. Hopefully the apps will update to be compatible with HDR
