iPhone 12 Pro Overheating

Hi, I’m facing the same issue with my iphone12.

usually I remember with my old iPhone 8, I only had these problems from time to time when I was charging my phone and using it at the same time. Like while watching videos or playing games etc. However, at the moment without charging only by using some apps I feel that it’s a bit overheated. No idea what to do. Just brought it 10 days ago🤨🤨

I just restored my iphone with no apps and no data. Yes still I can feel heat. Yes I have a sizeable photo library but I didnt faced this issue with any of my old iphones and my last one is XS 64GB. How photo library will be a problem? If so who need to fix it? do I need to delete my photos? :)

Hey! Yeah thanks for replying to me but it is the brand new iPhone 12 and it is kind of lagging and this dude have the audacity to say. “I see nothing” I literally show it to him to his face. Ah ok I’ll give it a few day to see what sup. But the apple story at North Star mall are the most unfriendliest place I ever been to. This girl who checked me in was so rude too. And add onto the guy who so called “genius help” like all he was background check it from his computer. Yikes man what a horrible experience

I like meant the dude is the one I went to, to get help form my iPhone at the apple store but it just overall unpleasant experience and I’ll wait then I’ll prob going to trade it back and get the iPhone 12 pro max or something

I have the phone for over two weeks now. So I doubt it is still that. There is also no issue while the phone is on Wifi or idling. I even deleted the app that was on the top in the battery overview. But thanks for replying.

Hello! I'm also noticing this heating problem on my iphone 12. I don't use games on my cell phone, but when I use it for anything simple (instagram, facebook, messages, emails, photos) it gets hot. They make 2 two that I bought and I'm not happy with this problem.

Not trying to start an argument but do you have the 12 bc it seems like u don’t understand what everybody is saying I’d understand if the phone was warm from charging streaming and having a ton of extra apps running but for it to be to hot to hold in your hand is a problem especially when you’re just charging it with no background apps open and just watching Netflix on using WiFi then even without the message it is overheating I shouldn’t have to worry about my case melting because I have my phone on the charger

Kind of sad how you get better support from a carrier than from Apple itself. When I asked for a replacement device they suggested I send my 2.5 week old device in for repair and be without phone for a few days.

It wasn’t easy getting another phone so i could migrate across, but i am glad the carrier did, yes apple should be providing better support, to some people there phone is everything, i know mine is, i can pretty much do everything i need to do via an app as the same as using an internet browser on a PC or Mac

My iPhone 12 Pro has been overheating after minimal use. Today it started overheating after NO use. Disappointing. I also frequently lose LTE service in areas I always had service on my old phone. I've had an iPhone for many years and have never had a problem with them. I regret buying the 12 Pro. My 8 Plus worked fine. Huge mistake.

I’m having the same issue. Not while charging thus far, but while doing the bare minimum on my phone - playing a game, browsing, etc. I keep background apps closed as well. Very concerned because this is the most expensive device yet and seems like there is a major issue.

I’ve been using my iphone 12 for 3 days now , it overheats aloooot knowing that im using the cable it came with and the apple power adapter ?! Also it seems to lose battery fast with not that much apps in the background either mainly whatsapp facebook apps only , i never experienced that with any of my ore ious iphones

Have 12 pro max and Tmobile and my **** was so hot my mom called it burning and freaked out said I should put it in cold water or in the fridge and I was like well it would make sense but components expand and contract and your never want to go from super hot to cold super fast with anything wether glass or pottery or silicon or transistors

Imagine not knowing what Forbes is omg even rappers who aren’t very educated know about getting on the Forbes list as a dream goal

you need to work less overtime and read a bit more **** from Forbes magazine maybe as a start. Culture is important and can be a life changing experience!

I think all new iphone 12 are infected by CORONA VIRUS , high fever 🤒🥵 , dunno what’s the deal with apple , should we wait for the vaccine or what ??!, they haven’t spoke or released any anything regarding the overheating major problem. It’s a shame !!
