The magnet works fine but nothing happens. No charge. Why won’t MagSafe charger work with brand new iPhone 12 Pro?

Is there another charger and power source to try? If so, does this only happen with the MagSafe charger? Try the applicable steps from If your iPhone or iPod touch won't charge, then test for the issue again.

I had the same problem and the solution below from Griff1026 worked for me!
Just updated to iOS 14.3 and it is charging with the MagSafe charger. Yay!
I just bought an ANKER 20 watt pair of chargers at Costco and they work with the MagSafe, but that doesn't help the problem that it will still not charge via USB A with USC adapter on my MacBook air.
I have the dual magsafe charger with the magnet for the watch as well. My iPhone 12 Pro will only charge if my watch is not charging too. The minute I drop my watch on, my phone stops charging.
Since updating to 12.4 hard restart no longer fixes the issue.
