iPhone 12 Pro speaker audio issues

I have had some unusual audio issues. Saturday morning 10/24/20, not even 24 hours of owning the phone, the speakers had reverb, static, pops and random buzzing. I did a screen recording and posted on YouTube. However the sound was mot syncing with the video. Perhaps a software issue but the sound does not seem as good as it was on my 11 Pro. I upgraded to give my mom my 11 Pro so if I return I’m phoneless during any repair or send off diagnostic. Very disappointed to say the least.

Whether you buy an android phone or not I do you think this is a software issue that will be resolved; so I understand it’s difficult to wait but I would urge you to give it a bit of time. Unless you you have a limited window to return the device. Additionally my issues have virtually gone away with iOS 14.2 and I believe the main issue is software with MagSafe cases and charger. I am currently only have a mag suitcase case no MagSafe charger.

same issues happened to me as well. Today is the first time. you have to restart the phone to fix this. I have a feeling it will come back again and again. It might be software bug or a hardware problem!

@Apple, please give us an answer! If it is a software issue, please fix it, it's a defect of your product.

I had my speakers popping and cracking on my first iPhone 12. I had to send it in and get a replacement. I got another broken one. Then I send that one in and got it replaced. (Both under warranty). The third one was a lot better, still terrible iPhone speakers though, but better. Now a couple of months later it’s getting worse again. No compensation, no nothing.

This is very frustrating but hard restart helped a little. I hope it is just an easy software fix.

Likely software...if not already done, complete are hard restart. As well document when it happens and reach out to apple. The restart seemed to help mine but the reverb on alerts drive me nuts.

Not exactly...I did a hard restart. It helped but I still get the reverb on various alert sounds, text, reminders etc.

That’s exactly my problem u have to restart to stop it from that silly noise. i waited 3 months to get this phone i had no phone bcz it was broken then i get this and its broken😢

Not my video, but you can replicate it by removing your magsafe case and put it back on and you can also trigger it by fixing your magsafe charger on your device. Only a reboot will restore the sound (edit: playing a song on ex Apple Music restore the locking sound)

Tried a full reset again this morning, and it’s still there. So 14.2 did nothing and a reset do not work... im tempting to turn in the phone for service, since some has the problem and others dont.. for me it’s unrealistic that it’s a software issue..

Same thing happened again this morning. Went to play a video on Facebook, video was playing no sound. Force closed an re opened, same issue. Went to Apple Music and all you hear is a loud base sound with popping. Did a restart an seems to be working fine for now. Definitely and Intermittent issue. Apple needs to fix this !!

Absolutely no issues with my 12 Pro Max but that of course doesn’t mean you aren’t having issues with your device.

Same type of problem, but on an Iphone 12 mini. Sounds get stuck, sounds start playing on a loop, caller can't hear me(nor me him).

It goes away with a phone restart, but the problem is that it happened twice in the same day now...
