Here is what I heard back from Resound. Let me know if any of this helps you.
Good day Lawrence,
Thank you for contacting ReSound.
I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with your new phone. Apple has just released the new iPhone 12 so we can now begin testing for compatibility with ReSound hearing aids as well as our apps. As the iPhone 12 is a newer device and not yet officially compatible, I do not have a lot to go on yet.
You can try a reset of your network settings as this can improve and often resolve many connectivity and streaming issues. If this does not alleviate the issue, I encourage you to contact Apple Accessibility at 877-204-3930
Here are the steps to reset network settings:
Please note: Resetting the network settings may cause the mobile device to forget saved Wi-Fi passwords. * No content or data will be lost.
If you take advantage of one of the ReSound apps, you will need to completely close the app out by swiping it away and then relaunch it to allow it to import the information from the fresh pairing.

yes I do have an Apple Watch
As you can see from my earlier post I am having the same problem. One thing I just did which improved things a lot was to go to the accessibility control in settings and toggle on the hearing aid compatibility button, which is turned off by default I think. That made it better though not perfect.
no progress to report from Resound or Apple however I figured out a workaround if you have the gear. using a resound minimic (I assume any streamer that connects to your ears) connected to my phone allows for a good bluetooth connection to my ears. it is a little convoluted but with the phones bluetooth on, going to the apps and selecting the minimic as you would normally use it -- then turning your phone bluetooth off you will get streamed audio to your ears.
I was told this week by an Apple Accessibility staff member that Apple engineers are working on it and it is an issue on Apple’s end. I was told that the fix (once they have one) would be pushed in an iOS update. A timeframe was not known and, therefore, could not be provided to me.
I don't doubt it will be solved, not the first time it happened, was laborious when first mfi HA were out too, the thing is when...
Let's hope the sooner, but it will depend of the complexity of the problem. Can be simple like just some bluetooth issue, like complicated cause of interferences (design, 5G antenna, the magnetic at the back etc... ) . Let's hope it's just some hardware/software tuning.
My iPhone 12 pro, freezes my car stereo, switching from one Bluetooth device to another and back to the first Bluetooth I was using, and when walking away from a second Bluetooth that’s connected the one I’m on starts cutting off, this phone has a big Bluetooth problem
Very disappointed with the iPhone 12 Pro and resound hearing aids. I do hope they get it resolved but in the mean time I went into iphone - settings - accessibility - hearing devices - selected my hearing aid devices and clicked on "Connected", then where it has Stream to Left and Stream to right, I toggled one of them off and left the other on. It did not matter which one I selected and then phone calls and music stream fine however only to one ear at a time. I found it very odd that both won't work, but I tested several times and a single stream is clear sounding without all the other issues. Hope this helps until a real fix it available.
I am deaf blind, I have two nucleus 7 cochlear implants. I am having the same issues with my streaming of audio content. The sound keeps dropping from either the right side or left side. Is anyone else with a **** hair implant having issues with the new iPhone 12?
yes, I have a Nucleus 7 on the right and a HA on the left, same issue. My workaround is to use a streaming device from the headphone output of my iphone12 pro, and to turn off the bluetooth completely. Hope they get this resolved quickly!!
YAY!! I DIDN'T EXPECT APPLE TO FIX IT SO QUICKLY FRANKLY. GOOD FOR APPLE! THEIR ENGINEERS SURE SPENT A LOT OF TIME WITH ME EXPLORING THE PROBLEM WHEN I FIRST REPORTED IT BACK IN OCTOBER. GLAD THEY TOOK IT SERIOUSLY!
Just updated iOS 14.2.1 which is the latest software update.. My Cochea implants stream without any issues! Hope everyone else can now hear the content they want to hear.
Indeed problem solved on my Signias too, i'm truely impressed by Apple reactivity.
All is perfect, sound quality as clear as before !
Thanks Apple !
Do not have iOS 14.2.1 available. I have 14.2 and states my phone up to date.
Update works perfectly!!! Thanks Apple!
