Scam charge

I received an email charging me $29.99 for a movie I never ordered. As I went through the procedure to cancel it, I was asked for my social security number. Call me crazy but my SSN is not used for anyone. Now I want to make sure I’m not charged for something I’m pretty sure was a scam. I immediately changed my password so if that’s what it was they can’t use the original password.
