iPhone 12 w/ iOS 14.1 poor hearing aid connectivity

My new iPhone mini has 14.2.1 software I set my widex hearing aids at 7 on the volume. Every time the screen go off or a email of any else that happens even disconnecting a call it lowers the volume it needs a fix or I’ll go back to android

I've been having the same issues with my Signa hearing aides and IOS14.2. The right one is a total wash when the phone rings. I visited my Audiologist yesterday and she did install the latest firmware but that didn't do anything for the streaming from my iPhone. What I do know is Apple has released IOS14.3 on their Beta users site and I'm downloading it now. I'll let you know if it helps.

Same issue with my widex hearing aids when the phone would ring and answered noise was horrible and one hearing aid would drop out. Resolution none bandaid fix turn the ringer off or phone to silent still rings in my aids but no drop out or static waiting for a permanent fix

When I received my iPhone 12 Pro I had the connectivity problem, I updated to Beta 14.3 PB2 and that fixed the issue. Now I'm running iOS 14.3 with no connectivity issue or static as some have mentioned. I would get static in one hearing aid when a call came in or when playing a video....

Hi Takeacip. Thanks for your help! Do you have the iPhone 12 model? And what hearing aids is it ok with? I have Signia and keen to clarify if it has resolved for Signia users. Thanks everyone for all your help it’s really appreciated and helpful

Hi Bobcorps. Thanks for your input! May I ask what brand of hearing aids you have? I have Signia so would love to know if the issue is persisting with that brand. There seems to be mixed experiences on different threads :)

My hearing aids are COSTCO. I’ve come to understand this is likely an Apple problem not so much brand related. I had great problems with earlier iOS updates. Now with 14.4 the sound is quite good but it does drop Bluetooth in a single ear once in awhile.

I have 14.3 on my iPhone 12 mini and my iPhone 7. I get static on both. I also had my hearing aids switch back and forth on the 7.

I really want to get an iPhone 12 Max but can’t justify having a device that does not support accessibility.

The IPhone 12 hearing aid connectivity problem isdamaging my quality of life.

I call Apple support regularly and the pretend that it is a new problem when in fact it has been going on for months.

I always get the same answer. Engineering is working on the problem.... BS!!!! get this issue redolved!!!!!!

The hearing aid Bluetooth noise problem is an IPhone 12 IOS problem. I call Apple regularly , they know the problem but do not seem to be doing anything about it. The issue had been there for MONTHS! and is having a very negative impact on users quality of life....

If everyone who is having this issue would call Apple support and press the issue, perhaps they would fix it!!!!!!

I upgraded to Iphone 12 pro and the sound quality (complete with static) during my phone conversations should be an extreme embarrassment to a big company like Apple. I paid that much money for that phone in order to get substandard sound quality? (I am using Phonak hearing aids).

Beta 14.5? I had to research that! Looks like the first developer beta was just released yesterday ... good on you that you already received it. I JUST received iOS 14.4 so it looks like my phone is a good week behind. I’m glad that there are improvements AND that you are happy with them ... that means I will be happy too! I was ready to toss the iPhone out the window I’m about 80% deaf without my hearing aids no help from apple 14.5 beta was the fix. No more clicking or dropping my hearing aids no more volume issues it’s worth a try good luck and thanks for the reply

Yes ... your hearing situation sounds like mine. I am not a “developer” so I will have to wait until it is offered to the public. But as long as I know that improvement is on its way, I can wait. Thank you for giving me positive response ... I needed that today!

It’s available now type in IOS beta profile register your phone download the profile go to your settings install the profile. It will ask you to reboot your phone then check for updates 14.5 should be there
