iPhone 12 w/ iOS 14.1 poor hearing aid connectivity

My wife has the same issue, with iPhone 12 128GB, she told me the definitely: "sounds like somebody tapping away feverishly on a keyboard inside my ear."

Well I’ve just installed IOS 14.3 Beta version and there is some improvement but there is still intermittent disconnection between the aids.

Same problem. iphone 11 pro max works great. Iphone 12 pro max has streaming connectivity issues with both of my Resound hearing aids from Costco. My iphone 12 had software version 14.2.

Apple Support have confirmed that they're aware that the problem is not totally fixed.

Still a disturbing ongoing static problem with iOS 14.3. I understand from other hearing aid users they too are having similar random problems.

Not totally. As multiple people have observed here, it still occurs on 14.3. Less frequently, but does still happen.

I've just upgraded to the 14.4 beta - I'll post an update in a few days.

Unfortunately I am having the same issue. Looks like my new iPhone will turn into a nice multifunctional paperweight. I contacted ReSound but they recommended me call Apple. Saw one person that said he did that - had to wait 20 minutes. No Thanks.

I just got an Iphone12 Having problems with my mini RITE G500 Hearing aids are causing me a problem. The left ear device is creating an extreme amount of Static, very painful. I am also having connection problems at times. If I turn my head at times it cuts out my sound. I am very dissatisfied with the disruption this causes. I hope this problem can be corrected. Like everyone else in these posts, I too have just gotten a new iPhone 12 and am having compatibility issues using my ReSound Vida 8 hearing aids. I’m not at all happy with the situation - lots of cutting in and out, switching from L ear to R and back again plus the LH HA with static so bad it sounds like somebody tapping away feverishly on a keyboard inside my ear. Seriously considering tossing this phone back at Apple in exchange for a model that we know works. Thanks for reading.

I have Oticon rechargeable hearing aids. The static is happening in both hearing aids. I have to take one out to answer the phone or else I hear nothing. It happens at many different situations. I had 14.1 on the 11 max pro with no issues. I updated to 14.2 on the 12 pro hoping fir some relief-no such luck.

I had the same problem with the Apple tech. Couldn’t get him to understand I was not the only one with this static issue. He wanted me to give him the names and addresses of the other people. I also told him to go to this site.

I kept telling him Apple had to fix the problem.

Spoke with a technician for over an hour! They are calling me back tomorrow on my home phone. I am keeping a log. I am up to 27 entries since 1:00 this afternoon. I am not sue if they are convinced that it is the phone! Frustrating! I had no issues with my old 6S!

Got my iPhone 12 Pro a week ago, got a replacement today hoping the problem was only with the first iPhone, sorry to say the replacement iPhone has the same problem. I hope Apple resolves this problem ASAP

I have Philips Hearlink 9010 hearing aids purchased in Oct 2020 that have worked flawlessly with my iPhone 11 Pro Max and Hearlink app. Just upgraded to iPhone 12 Pro Max. Experiencing unpredictable interference listening to music or on phone calls with phone in a variety of positions and involving one or both of the hearing aids.. Static most common, also squealing and clicking. Both phones are using IOS 14.2. Unfortunately will likely result in me returning my new phone.

Although my left hearing aid has most of the static I have some in the right as well. Don't think that solution will work for me,. Thanks for the information. Glad to know they are "working on it". My phone was just purchased so I have some time to return it. Don't really want to pay Verizon's restocking fee but if there is not a fix in the next several weeks I will be switching to another kind of phone.
