Well that’s annoying, about as clear as mud, and yet more actions needed to be taken by the user rather than the simple process of just listening to a **** song. The nerds at Apple know how to overthink the simplest of tasks and they definitely do not have the objective of eliminating clicks.

I've never seen this message before until recently and now it comes up repeatedly.

It is indeed redundant and annoying. It's a prime example of over-design or over-thinking the user experience. I can't imagine anyone would miss this obnoxious little window if it disappeared for good.

Design rule: Don't add unnecessary clicks.

Design rule: Don't add pop-up decision windows whose content isn't self-explanatory.

Design rule: If you think you're helping the user, always think twice.

I don't have a subscription to Apple Music, but I chanced hitting CLEAR and the only thing that happened as far as I can tell is that it made that popup window go away.

CLEAR has absolutely no obvious meaning to anyone using this app. Is it another word for delete? Apparently it was in your case. Does it mean that it will remove the playhead from the middle of a current song when you select a new song to play? Does it mean that playlists will be emptied? Who the heck knows. And this is the inherent problem with that popup window. I have no idea how user design people let this kind of thing pass. Or, maybe this popup window just got added on without being vetted.

I am listening to a playlist of an audiobook I downloaded to Music on my iphone. This prompt is so confusing!!! What queue are they referring to? The playlist of the audiobook??? I am afraid that If I click on CLEAR it will remove the tracks on my audiobook. If I click on KEEP, will it keep playing the same track over and over??? No idea how to answer and I find this very annoying. Please explain or tell me how to disable it! Frustrating.....

Like many others, I find this keep/clear/cancel pop-up extremely annoying. I also don't think Apple Support's earlier answer/response to be helpful or address what has got customers annoyed. Here's my issue: I have a playlist that I created from my own library. It has nothing to do with Apple Music. I want to jump from song #2 to song #5, for example. I scroll a little ways down and touch #5 and I get the keep/clear/cancel pop-up. And every single time I tap a song on that playlist, here comes the pop-up. HEY APPLE, I don't need your pop-up or help. Just play the **** song. But instead, APPLE makes it more difficult by inserting itself and turning what should be one tap on the screen into two taps. Lay off, APPLE! I know the order of songs on my playlist and I know what I'm doing. Scram!

Worked up? Really? This is another useless Apple message that turns a simple 1-step process into a 3-step process. Keep, Clear and Cancel are not well defined, and a "Don't show this again" is too much for the coders?

I remember when Apple was short, simple, and it always works. In a Windows world.

And if you confuse disappointment of seeing constant foolish changes with a product and a company we have championed for years, and difficulties getting answers... with getting worked up? Well, worked up it is then I guess. Apple has spoken.

God forbid you back to listening to your customer base.
