Lighting in videos recorded on iPhone 12 Pro flicker
I’ve noticed when I am shooting videos on my new IPhone 12 Pro the lighting/shadows keep adjusting on a smooth colored surface like a wall, floor, or street when I pan the camera across the scene. HDR makes it more pronounced but it has happens with HDR off. It’s almost like the image processor can’t decided on the proper exposure as a pan the camera, but only for the smooth surface and not the rest of the image. Try shooting a video outside in the middle of the day of a smooth road and pan the camera. You will see the lighting go light to dark like waves as you pan. I certainly expected more from the 12 pro moving from the XS model. The XS was the worst camera I thought Apple ever put in an iPhone and now these videos are crap at the 12 pro. I still don’t understand how people are ready to move away from DSLR cameras.
