Lighting in videos recorded on iPhone 12 Pro flicker

I guess the comments on lights threw me off. This happens with natural sun light without any lights on so it has nothing to do with lights flickering. Also, the frequency of the color change, changes with the speed of panning the camera. If it was lights the flickering would be constant. This is either a sensor weakness or AI issue.

That wasn’t helpful at all. As someone who has used DSLR for many years as well as taking and editing videos from my iPhone I don’t need to learn how to take photos on the IPhone.

That thread describes a different issue. It’s really hard to explain what is happening but looking back on my IPhone XS it did the same thing but not as noticeable. When you pan the camera in video lighting on a solid surface varies as you move the camera. I wish I could post a small sample clip, but it almost looks like a wave of shadows as you move the camera. I’m not talking about the exposure adjusting if you move across different lighting. I’m talking about a scene with a flat surface with uniform lighting and when you pan the camera across the scene the lighting on the surface goes light and dark quickly, (lake a wave) as you move the camera. The wave is in sync with your motion. Slower you pan the slower the change in color and faster than the faster the lighting will change in the surface. Try it on a well lit solid wall or ground. Just pan the camera back and forth and you will see it.
