iPhone not showing Contact names on iOS 14

I have had the same/similar every day at lunchtime without fail.

my contact names would just disappear and become numbers. And the number format displayed would complete change to numbers with more spaces btwn! And the phone would add in a different area code ie +35 instead of +44 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

mand then I couldn’t use my phone so I power off and back on and that helps but I get the flashy apple logo upon startup 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️...

but sure as god made apple lunchtime the nxt day bk to the same....

Iv tried all all the other tips and tricks here and to no avail, Iv scoured Google and again to no avail!. I am on the latest software and this is when this issue arose.

now I am a sole carer for my uncle who is critically ill with cancer and I am on call via phone 24/7 and I need to be in contact with medical staff 24/7 I cannot have my phone off at any time so this is a matter of life and death for me and most inconvenient. So please apple sort this out ASAP.

and yes I have a brand new iPhone 12 Pro Max. And never had this issue pro to having this new phone!....

I am having the same issue, and was so surprising is that this issue was gone on for years and Apple still has not been able to fix it. Very frustrating after having purchased top of the line and new iPad.

cannot see any of my contacts except my own on my iphone 11 under contacts , where are they and also in my messages only phone numbers are shown , why? is this due to updates etc how do i cure this and reinstate all my contacts

same problem. Whenever I got a call or text from an unknown number I blocked the caller. 6 months later I realised the iPhone error.

I don’t have the time to go through all contacts. Just hoping the next or the next iOS update shall resolve it ????????

Now my wife’s 11 is having same issues, had to power off 3 times in 2 days. This only started with iOS 14.3.

We’re both on 14.4. And having issues. Seems to be on a group message, one of us gets it fine the other gets unknown and the message disappears until a restart.

That's what the senior advisor I talked to at Apple said as well. I know it's silly, but I REALLY don't want to do that. Did you end up trying this?

I have this problem on my iPad. All the above recommendations have not work so far. Apple, what is going on, why is this been such a long standing ongoing issue? I have a brand new iPad!?

Did you have to reset your phone? What actually solved it?

My phone makes my numbers all spread out so I can’t call people and it makes it go straight do dial assist
