iPhone 12 pro has blurry pictures from camera
You Guys,
For more information:
I regret it as well since it’s the reason i held out for this phone when mine ended up at the bottom of a lake... I couldn’t had an 11 in two days but went phoneless for a week just to get this disappointing pieces of crap.
My wife and I both have the 12 pro max, and both get garbage photos most of the time. Neither of us are professionals but we have both done freelance work and have used phone cameras and DSLRs for years so I don’t think it’s user error like Apple likes to claim. I really hope they fix this, since the camera is the reason we got these phones.
Same exact transition here (Pixel 3XL to 12 Pro Max). Just did holiday photos side by side in broad daylight... iPhone looks HORRIBLE. Everyone thinks the Pixel 3XL photos are my new 12 Pro Max lol.
It's been happening to me too! I thought maybe Samsung sent me a bad phone. It's random too. I have gotten amazing photos and then I go to take a simple shot and it's all blurry! What is the answer, please?
I did live chat with Apple... they had me update with Apple pro raw too... had nothing to do with the issue... so my options were to send it back and Pat another 1200 for a loaner until they receive mine, or schedule an appt with an Apple tech... so that’s happening next Thursday... an hour away... ugh. I think they need to do a massive recall.
I thought it was just trying to take close up pictures that were blurry but when I upload even photos of scenes the pictures are blurry. I only bought the camera because of the advertised camera potential. What a waste of money I prefer my IPHONE 6.
My wife has a samsung galaxy 10. I finally upgraded to the iphone 12 pro and thought now I would have a better camera. Low light pics are definitely better, but on a side by side comparison of a daylight shot, when I zoom in, it's not even close. The Samsung is way sharper. The iphone does not focus cleanly. I love my iphone 12, but this was disappointing. I'm hoping it's a software thing and apple fixes it soon.
I had the same problem and used actual glass cleaner stuff that you’d use to clean reading glasses. That took care of the problem. I tried cleaning it before but not with this stuff. If you haven’t tried glass cleaner try it.
I’ve had this issue as well once I bought the phone. Unfortunately I cannot say that any other of my phones was any better. I came from 8+ and it was way worse. Maybe I am just not lucky with cameras, but anyhow. I started searching for tips on stats that are best to be used with 12pro and plaid around with the video setting for HD, 4K videos first and once I found the right setting for me and went back to pictures, they too became much clearer! The functions are at the top right corner that I changed so maybe it could help for some too. I’m still convinced that phone is a phone so if I really want to take professional pics I should get a banging photo camera 🤷🏻♀️ I don’t think phones will or should ever replace that. However it would be nice that the promises of at least clear pictures are carried out by the company too.. good luck guys
I am having the same issue as well. After googling it there seems to be a LOT of people with the same issue. Mine won’t focus when taking pictures up close. I spoke with support and they ran a diagnostic check. Said everything was fine. They said I could send it in for a tech to look at it. I said no, because I have read that numerous people did that and it was the same issue after getting it back. Some even got new phones to replace it and had the exact issue with a new phone. I’ve read here in the support community some people are saying it’s possibly a software issue. I’m not sure. I’m frustrated to say the least that Apple isn’t addressing this
I’ve talked to both Verizon and Apple, even had an appointment with an Apple tech for an hour who ran tests and said the phone is operating the way it’s supposed to. Yet, the photos are still poor quality. That same day I had to take a photo/scan of my health insurance card for a web site and it couldn’t focus on the card at all to fill the crop marks. I’ve also noticed the front facing camera has very poor detail, not crisp, clear photos. I finally spoke to someone else at Verizon last week and told them everything I’ve done to resolve the issue, so they are sending me a replacement to see if it works better. It was supposed to be here last Tuesday and today is Saturday... so you can see how well that is going too. I bet it would be here if Amazon shipped it lol
I feel like everything after the iPhone 12 has been almost borderline cramp and I’ve been with Apple since it’s inception on the iPhones :-( everything is starting to go downhill I’m thinking about going backwards now and going back to an iPhone 11 Pro where I know for sure my pictures were just perfect or at least expected to be and they are were if that makes sense anyway just my two cents as well I own an iPhone 12 mini so it is my wife we both have issues and I think it’s more software than it is anything because every update seems to botch up some thing and fix another something. Let me know what anybody thinks thanks.
