this is one example. I know he was probably not perfectly still but this is what old school cameras from my youth used to do. My old iPhone 6 was able to take much less blurry pictures of my toddler. HELP!
Yea there's no way these guys tested the camera. Just don't believe it. With Christmas coming up we need an answer soon. Come on Apple. Don't be Google and wait 6 months to fix your software for your camera!
Hi Guys yesterday i went to apple store with same problem zoom in and battery heating issue. They tested my device and said nothing wrong. So my point is if they had admitted this issues i would have asked for repair or new device but they are not just admitting.
So what i did is requested refund of my iphone 12 pro 256GB.
Good for you! That might be my next move. I had to fight HARD to get a replacement phone since they found no issues with my phone either. I’m going to test that phone and if the photo quality is still bad, I’m going to return it as well (it’s just a shame that I’ve already traded in my 8+)
Yes, exactly... my daughter and I took identical photos with her 11 and my 12, and here were crisp & clear compared to the 12... I’m ****** off because I purposely waited for the 12 for camera improvements!
Hi.
Just bought the 12 pro max and took the exact same type of photo. One on my 11 pro max and one on the 12 max in night mode and the 11 nailed it while the 12's background was blurry....not impressed.
Having the same issue with my iPhone 12 Pro Max. Indoor phot’s are blurry, trouble focusing and extremely grainy. Will contact support or go to Apple store. Sorry I traded in my 11 Pro which took better pictures.
Hey guys, got my replacement iPhone 12 pro and the pictures are exactly the same. Grainy/blurry on the edges. Forget taking quick snaps of your kids, they can’t focus fast enough and the kids come out blurry. This blows
Just got my 12 Pro, haven't had issues with close up at least from what I can see. However, today I got a chance to get outside and try it on landscape images. Pretty disappointing. Maybe it was just me being use to my DSLR but almost every image was out of focus or soft.
There are several new settings under the camera settings. I think that may be where the problem lies. I think What is happening is the auto focus and the adjustment for light keeps moving while we’re trying to take pictures. We need to be able to turn that off or reset it some **** and there’s bound to be an option in that long list of settings I just looked at. If anybody knows what the best settings are to prevent the camera from trying to auto focus or auto light adjust please let everybody know.
I’m glad you brought this up. On my XS I had the HDR feature off because I would take better pics. It would also allow for better editing afterwards. On the 12pro I tried the same thing but the differences are so minimal that I decided to keep it on. Needless to say I’ve messed around with the settings combinations so much that I finally came to the conclusion that it’s just poor cameras
When I bring into Lightroom to compare, the sky is completely blown out on the 12 Pro with not data to recover. Both images were focused on church doors to make capture.
Also just checked my wife's image was HEIC and mine was JPEG.
Same issue here!Photos are also sometimes blurry when in portrait mode:(. My biggest issue is, when regular using the phone, especially in photos, the phone lagged and starts glaring and doing weird things like crazy:( it sometimes even pops out to homepage by its self... Pls help
I chatted and was told to try a factory reset... been in person at the Apple Store for hours... been told I just don't understand cameras and everything was normal... Lol. Was told by the Apple Store that if their forced update to the latest iOS didn't fix the issue that chat would replace my phone... Chat refused and wanted to go through all the same things again.
That’s disappointing I hope they read the reviews. I thought this problem was going to be resolved in the near future as a software issue. I take close up shots of nature and this camera just cannot cope for all the reasons you say. I regret buying it. Thanks for your contribution to the discussion
