iPhone 12 OLED Screen Issue

Still experiencing the problem on 14.5.

Before, the pixels would stay on for a few seconds then shut off at 20-50% brightness, and >20% they would never turn off. Now, they turn off faster at medium brightness, and at >20% they DO turn off, but it can take a few seconds, and there has to be nothing moving on the screen. It helps a bit with nighttime reading but it's still very noticeable and annoying. One thing that does seem to be completely fixed is video. The black sidebars no longer glow at any brightness.

I see this green line always but only if I open the YouTube application on my iPhone 12 pro and start a dark video, and increase or decrease the volume .. when the volume bar appears this green line appears that I hate .. more increase the brightness and more you can see .. for the rest I have no problem with green tint but only the classic yellow calibration of this year's iPhones that we all have .. if I open YouTube from safari the problem is not there because the volume bar has a different graphical interface .. I don't understand if it's a bug on all iPhones because it's a YouTube bug or just mine.

Whomsoever said that green tint has been fixed for them in latest 14.5, can you check in the same way as shown in the above quote.

Let us know, if you can replicate it.

I have the same problem, my iPhone 12 has a G9P display(detected by i4.cn software)the phone is still under warranty.

I made and sent a video to Apple tech support and after a week their response was that it is a feature of the OLED display and not covered by warranty. The display has a problem that in dark mode the screen has a green tint and pink tints at the top row of the keyboard and when switching dark windows it makes a "pink ghost". The phone was bought in the Czech Republic. Link to video: Installing iOS 14.7 did not fix the error.

I have the same problem, Apple send me a new iPhone two times now, I think they don’t know what to do. I still hope for a software issue.

I bought 2 iPhone 12‘s and had this issue on both devices + yellow tint and a too harsh True Tone.

I returned both phones. If I spend 900€ I want at least a screen as good as mine on iPhone XS.

iPhone 12 Mini and 12 Pro Max have the same issue. This is reported by some people on a Mac Rumors Forum. If these iPhones have Samsung Panels, it has to be a software issue.

they were told by Apple that we should wait until they release a software fix but the quality look poor to me too mainly in front of the demo unit in the store.

Changing the color filters add some Blue/Greenish tint but decrease the screen brightness, Erica Griffin has talked about the issue in her recent YouTube post

Can you share a video of your unit? You can use one of the examples that you can find in this forum (for example a total black video of YouTube with 50% luminosity). Thank you in advance😊

Replaced mine today and still having the issues with 14.1 and 14.2.1 . They said I can return the phone until January 8th if I’m not satisfied.

Could you try the test with a black image and with a black video, how your display behave with that? maybe there is no flickering, but glowing?

What are the first two letters of your serial number? Is it G6? Or F7 or C7

With a completely black youtube video and in a completely dark room you should see the display which is not completely black !! with brightness 30% or less!
