Ironically Tim Cook said something similar 7 years ago why OLED not good enough for iPhone DOH!
Tim Cook says you can't trust the color accuracy of OLED displays, and he touts the Retina Display as a superior experience
"What Apple does is sweat every little detail," he said. "We want the best display, and I think we got it."
Anyways, if you don't notice issues with your iPhone 12 don't go looking for them because you will as this very long thread shows!
Returned my iPhone 12 and still waiting on refund. This is why I don't recommend returning iPhone unless you absolutely have to since in California anyways cannot return in Apple store so have to mail it back and wait up to 5 days to get refund whereas in store get it right away!
I might try iPhone 12 again when store open back up so I can try to get better display than I had if iPhone 13 doesn't come out before then. Not worth the hassle at the moment :( Hoping my iPhone 12 display was just a bad batch but can't afford to play panel lottery until pandemic over :( Compared my iPhone 12 mini to a iPhone 12 max and display looked way better and had actual whites like current iPhone SE so maybe they got lucky and got one of the good displays or maybe like someone said more QA or better panels used on the highest cost iPhone 12 max?
Really missing the camera of the iPhone 12 was best I ever used on camera phone that was for sure! I notice how much slower autofocus on iPhone SE2 I'm currently using in comparison not to mention way worse picture and video quality :(
