Mouse pointer size on iOS 14.2

Good evening! When I updated to iOS 14.2, my mouse pointer size became bigger, and I thought it was not normal, I tried to reduce the pointer, but it was still so much bigger. When I turned off AssistiveTouch, my pointer was normal again. So, now I can’t use my mouse with AssistiveTouch turned on, and I need that sometimes, I hope Apple will fix it on the next software update. This is the temporary solution that I’m using.

Well, tell me if you guys have this issue too.

André.

I have the same problem and even more, the pointer doesn’t change it’s shape when you point it on different fields in your iPad. Before this release, when you point the mouse pointer to general tab, it changed its shape from circle to rectangular

clearly there is a bug in 14.2 . Hope apple will fix these issues soon.. many issues with the mouse pointer

I am having the exact same problem. Once I turn on the accessibility and dwelling on, two things happen. I cannot scroll anymore and also I am having the same problem as you of clicking in futile. Once I turn off the accessibility, everything is back to normal. So I don't think it is a matter of resetting to factory settings unless most people in this discussion is indeed successful with that solution. It might work right away but the bug will return after all that trouble. The thing is that iPad has been awful with my Logitech M720. It would get fixed and work fine till the next version comes around. Right now, it gets disconnected way too often and unusable. BTW, I use both Magic Mouse 2 and M720. Both have been extremely buggy, it has been almost a year now and it is really disappointing that Apple is still having problem fixing this problem.

iPad Magic keyboard has been acting abnormally to me for quite some time. Even from inception. I occasionally corrected problems by turning settings off and on. Then I would get a stretch of things working properly. Then I strayed off the beaten path and tried Public beta 14,, then 14.2 and things got worse. I thought getting back to normal iOS 14.1 would stabilize things, but didn't. Having same problem of having Assistive touch to stick, and not create problems, like abnormal size of pointer, Assistive touch dot not reacting to anything further like pop up customizations. I basically am turning off assistive touch until I see some affirmation that they have addressed this problem. Productivity on my iPad reduced immensely as this is one of the tools that I use instead of keyboard shortcuts, which are also lacking. Thanks for fixing apple. I think you will see many more people commenting on this Assistive touch problem.

Hi,, I had continued to see if all was back to normal, but seems like , for example in Google Keep (in my case), I was trying to type a simple note, and pointer seemed to veer and be totally unsteady. When I typed a sentence, all the letters ran into each other, so just simple typing in this app is a no go. Perhaps things work ok in Apple apps,, but at least this third party app, Google Keep, not working well at all. I am able to use my pencil in it, however, am concentrating on using keyboard functions, and using trackpad pointer. Bottom line my fix is 100%. Boo hoo.
