Anyone know how to fix a battery drain on WatchOS 7.1? Updated to it last night and my watch won’t last half a day now. Used to last a good 24ish hours before this 7.1 update. (Went from 7.0.3 to 7.1 last night)
I’m sorry but there is no fix..assuming you’ve already set up your watch correctly, but seems to, if you noticed the battery drain!
I have the same problem, I normally stay between 35 and 42 hours of battery but I noticed something wrong in the firsts hours!

So, in theory, slightly more than 24 hours..is not enough! It can lasts longer..
Drain depends on what you do with the watch. As mine is Watch Edition 4, the battery has 89% maximum capacity.

to me, since it’s just a watch so not essential, they can reduce the battery even at half day..I’m not gonna change it!
I've checked even today, 95% at 10.48pm Wednesday -> 15% now..so it makes 80% in 39hrs.. unlike I said days ago, after few days seems to drain correctly...
Doesn’t matter if it was next to the iPhone but maybe full discharge and charge is the same reason that solved mine problem too..who knows..!

Yeah I’m having the same issue. I used to be able to go to bed with about 25% as worse and now it’s dead before I even get to bed. The battery life on 7.1 isn’t very good.
to try to find another culprit, apart the iOS bug, there is the need to know few things like background refresh, any complications on the watch face, noise app, brightness, sound level, etc...
Anyone find a fix? Any news from Apple? Did not even last 12h today...
AW 6 and I have the same problem. Normally AW 6 lasts over 24 hours even with gym trainings. Now it is just 16-18 hours max.
Indeed. I just upgraded to the iPhone 12 Pro Max from the iPhone 6s Plus. But with iPhone 6s Plus I have not experienced this battery drain. So maybe there is some problem with newer iPhones.
i has the same issues, my battery drains so fast, before the watch os 7.1, at least 2 day with out charging, now just half day.

Same issue. I tried an text, left my apple watch on the table, fully charged over night! Everything off. In the morning its 33% battery. The screen didnt turn on at all. Apple please fix this
Hi, my problem was solved by doing the watch entirely discharging of it, i left the watch turned off like about two days, without using it. Then i charged it at 100% and thats work for me
