iPhone 12 pro max shipping

I placed my order right when pre-order started at 5:00 am on November 6th. However, it still says preparing to ship but says that it should arrive by Friday the 13th (it's the 10th today). I'm wondering if apple just lags in shipping updates or something, or what other people's orders say. I am in Canada by the way

With ALL iPhone launches you won't get see a status change until the last two days, when it goes from processing, to preparing to ship, to shipped. It all happens rather quickly. Rest assured if Apple told you your phone is coming on Friday, you'll get it Friday.

Mine was supposed to arrive Friday the 13th by 9 p.m. but just got an announcement saying that it’s not going to get here until Monday at 9 PM now. How annoying. I have literally never ordered an Apple product or gotten something from their store without leaving upset. I guess when you make up a bajillion dollars you don’t have to worry about customer experience

Apple should make every effort in the future for their customers to receive their new iPhones on launch day, or at least make launch day on Thursday instead of Friday. I’m a huge Apple fan and a shareholder. I order a new iPhone every year and I usually order within minutes when preorder starts.

I should have received my order yesterday on launch day but UPS botched my delivery. Now I have to wait until Monday for the initial delivery and won’t have the weekend to play around with my new phone.

Buying and using Apple products are all about having the best experience and I can tell you, they way they launch their products by shipping them directly from China introduces risks of some of their fan base not getting their products on time, and it really puts a damper on the experience. I’m not sure whether to be upset with Apple or UPS but it just left a bad taste in my mouth, which doesn’t happen often with buy Apple products.

So somehow Apple is supposed to be responsible for a UPS delivery issue?

I'm sorry but so many things you stated make absolutely no sense whT so ever. It says DESIGNED in California, never assembled in California. All mobiles are made in China, Vietnam and Korea. There is not one factory in America able to produce as. Much mobiles as Apple need. If you want a made in America mobile build one yourself. And before you say such weird things inform yourself.

UPS can't find my iPhone and told me that they are investigating and would take up to 10 business days. I called Apple and they told me they had started an investigation as well. I was beyond upset until I found that there are still a good number of ATT iPhone12 Pro Max at the local Apple store. I went in and picked one up yesterday and canceled my original order.

The fact that they still have a good amount of inventory remaining makes me believe that the demand is lower this year. Time to sell some of my Apple stocks.

I ordered my phone at 5 am on 11.6.20 (the day/time apple.com made it available). It was due to be delivered on the 13th but, it was delayed according to UPS. I received updates that my package had cleared customs (from China) and was at my local UPS facility. I called UPS today because, after six days of no movement, I would like an update. I was told they do not know where my item is and that I need to file a claim for a "lost package." So, even though tracking says my package is at my facility, this is not the case, I guess.

I filed the claim with UPS and then called Apple and was told the only thing they can do is open an investigation for a lost order. It's going to take up to 11 days to complete the investigation before a replacement can be shipped to me (or I can have the item returned and then reordered - if I want to pick up in-store and not risk have this shipping fiasco again).

I'm annoyed but trying to stay positive as they're worse problems in the world right now, and I know I'll get my phone eventually.
