My iPhone 12 keeps asking for email password

I am now into second day after trying your suggestion. I haven’t had any more requests for passwords. Hopefully this is either because your suggestion worked, or very quietly someone at Apple has sorted out the mess they made. Thank you, again, anyway. 😌

I deleted hotmail from my iPhone via settings. Mail, turned off the phone. and turned on the phone. Went back to settings, mail, and added Outlook with the password. Haven’t had a problem since....tried about a week ago.

My phone stopped asking for my hotmail password but still asks for my outlook password. The strangest thing is when I send email from my business email (hosted by Earthlink not an exchange account) I get an error saying "cannot send mail because password is wrong for outlook. Not only does that account have nothing to do with outlook but the emails are going out just fine. The phone also seems to stalls a lot as well since ios 14. I'll start typing and nothing happens then suddenly all the letters appear at once.

I was experiencing the same thing however one simple thing seems to have worked for me.

I downloaded the Edge Browser (from Microsoft) and logged into my Outlook account. When given the opportunity to save the password I did.

The iOS Mail app has been working ever since with no login requests. I was getting the Account Error popup every day at least once.

It has now been about a week and all my accounts remain logged in with issue, so hopefully that's a solution.

With regards to your devices , upgrade them .. update them and then see for yourself.

when the people are saying its after iOS 14 then it is . And how on earth can you say that You can’t believe?

Since your devices are incapable of upgrading to the latest updates , You should definitely not poke your nose and Create further confusions!

After updating to 14.3 the issue with the password having to be entered for the hotmail at different times has been resolved after the update hasn’t asked me for a password anymore thank you for keeping your promise apple to fix this with the 14.3 update.

Same here, started after upgrading to ios14, apple on the ball again ffs!!!

I can't belive this is true, neither my windows PC or older ipad (incapable of loading the latest update), are affected.

Yes, it's an interaction between the two platforms. You would imagine Apple would have robust testing before release, but obviously not!

I have an older iPhone 7 and this has started since the new iOS update. The outlook app itself and the Gmail apps are both okay

I have this issue with iOS14.2 and Big Sur 11.0.1: both my iPhone and MBA keep asking me to re-enter the password every 24h or so. This is really annoying. This started 10 to 15 days ago on my side.

Keeps happening on my iPhone 11 phone. So frustrating!!!!

I’m having the same issue with both my hotmail accounts. Every day it will be one or the other & it’s across all devices; phone; iPad, macbook. All since the update. Very frustrating.

This is happening on both my iPhone 7 Plus phones and my iPad Air 3, only since updating to iOS 14.2 only on outlook and only on Apple devices.
