Ethernet adapter not working with big sur update?

Ethernet adapter not working with big sur update, tried the many solutions, but nothing works.

I am using macbook air 2017.

Adapter working fine before update, also working fine with another macbook air 2017 with Catalina.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.0

A quick search of Apple turned up little useful info so a wider search I cam across info relating to the AX88179 device incompatibility with Big Sur so I checked my hardware System Information and found the following hardware device listed for my MacBook gigabit ethernet port AX88179 USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet So it would appear that the Apple brand thunderbolt to gigabit ethernet adapter is not supported in my MacBook Pro 2015 running Big Sur 11.2.1 Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know of a fix?

Thunderbolt Ethernet A1433 not working Big Sur Hi everyone, I have a MacBook Pro Retina 13-inch, Early 2015. I two days ago I upgraded from Mojave to Big Sur 11.2.2. As the title indicates, the Thunderbolt to Ethernet adaptor is no longer working. Has anyone else experienced this - or solved it? I know the cable and ethernet port at working. I don't know if the dongle or thunderbolts on the laptop are faulty. I can test the dongle with another computer later in the week. Happy to try anything - that keeps security integrity - and would rate my skill at intermediate. Thanks in advance for any advice

Thunderbolt 3 to Ethernet adapter not working for MacBookPro16,3 I am trying to set up ethernet on my MacBookPro16,3 using a Thunderbolt 3 to Ethernet adapter, but in System preferences the ethernet continuously shows as inactive. Perhaps my settings for ethernet are incorrect or perhaps this system just doesn't support ethernet and I am unaware. Whatever the case may be, can anybody let me know if they have ever experienced this and if you have found a way to work around this?

MacOS11.3 enabled my belkin USB Multimedia Adapter(Model:AVC005btBK-A) to connect to the Internet.

The same for me, I upgraded to MacOS 11.3 and my Ethernet adapter works after without any issue. Hooray!
