iPhone 12 Pro Max not wirelessly charging

Received my iPhone 12 Pro Max today but it won't wirelessly charge on any of the three Q1 chargers I have. My XS Max and wife's X all work fine. Why is this? I have the Apple silicone case but with the case or without it still won't charge. Starts for a few seconds then the chargers flash a few times and it stops charging.

Have tried the following:

Erase Network Settings - Didn't work

Hard reset (Volume up / Volume down / hold power until Apple logo shows) - Didn't work

Seeing lots of similar posts on other forums. Perhaps the magnets are interfering and Apple just want you to get a Magsafe charger instead?

(Had to select iPhone 11 Pro Max for what device am I referring too as 12 Pro Max not listed)

I just bought my 12 Pro Max on Friday (11/13) and last night (11/17), the wireless charging stopped working. I found a video on YouTube that indicates that turning the phone off and then back on will temporarily resolve the issue and that installing iOS 14.2 will resolve it. I tried turning it off and back on and it did start wirelessly charging after that. Installing iOS 14.2 now. In the "About this Update" document, it indicate that the 14.2 release does fix the following issue (among others):

    • Devices could be prevented from charging wirelessly

It is a common fault with iphone 12's, after speaking with several tec's at apple it was eventually confirmed that it is a software issue with iphone 12's, not hardware, despite what 'others' may say on this forum. So I wouldnt bother attempting to take phone back to apple store, the same issue will be there until software issue is addressed.

Apple are fully aware of issue and are trying to put a fix in, but it won't be soon.

I am experiencing exactly the same issue with wireless charging.

My iPhone 12 Pro Max isn't charging wirelessly anymore. I've tried it with different chargers. I've tried it with Apples magsafe charger and duo charger, Samsung charger and Native Union charger. None of them was worked. I've got iOS 14.4.1 (latest at the current time). I tried soft and hard resets. Nothing worked. Any suggestions?

I previously reported that shutting down and repowering sorted out the problem. It did, for about 24 hours only. I am now having to reset more and more frequently. Apple have just run a remote diagnostic and confirmed no hardware issues. As previously noted, they acknowledge that many owners are now experiencing this issue. I am awaiting their Expert Support to take over my case.

Yes, the reset worked for me once. This is ridiculous. It's obviously a software problem. I am already unhappy with some of the "new" features of this iphone. I purchased a wireless charging device directly from the Apple website-and it doesn't work. I don't know if anyone noticed, but it takes a crapload of time for the phone to charge from the normal plug in. Come on, Apple!

I’ve had a wireless charging issue since getting the 12 Max Pro last fall. At first, I thought it was the charger. So I replaced it. And replaced it again. And again (I’m a slow but persistent type). Finally I realized it was the phone, not the charger and found this thread several months ago. As I result, I ended up with the Geekera charger (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083S8418Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_GKCW0YNQWDC9DTZAA16G?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1). It turns out this device has a big, bright, green light that pops on for several seconds when the phone is placed in one tiny little sweet spot. Once there, the phone ALWAYS charges fine. However, if not placed in this tiny little sweet spot, the charger’s green light flashes, non-stop. I would say this occurs about 80% of the time. Maybe more. Then I have to take the phone off the charger, wait a sec, then try again. Voila. Phone always charges. However, if I didn’t have this big green light letting me know I’d hit or missed the sweet spot, it’s highly likely I’d be waking up most mornings with my phone not charged. I hope this helps someone. PS: I love my iPhone and all of my Apple products. I trust that Apple will, indeed, resolve this. At least, fingers crossed.

I am currently facing the same issue. Recently I have received a mophie 3-in-1 wireless charger from my friend and it charged my airpods and apple watch, however when it came to my iphone 12 pro max it charged for just a few seconds and then it stopped. I've tried every position possible and have too taken off and on the original apple silicon magsafe case. I've reached out to the official mophie website and they said the next IOS update should fix this.

I've had a 12 Pro Max since November, and place it on a wireless charger several times a day.

Not once has it failed to charge, except when placed on chargers whose manufacturers state they are not compatible (sadly including chargers from Belkin, who has now come out with new models that are.)

The charging brick is a done deal; none comes with new Samsungs, either:
