iPhone 12 Pro Max not wirelessly charging

Received my iPhone 12 Pro Max today but it won't wirelessly charge on any of the three Q1 chargers I have. My XS Max and wife's X all work fine. Why is this? I have the Apple silicone case but with the case or without it still won't charge. Starts for a few seconds then the chargers flash a few times and it stops charging.

Have tried the following:

Erase Network Settings - Didn't work

Hard reset (Volume up / Volume down / hold power until Apple logo shows) - Didn't work

Seeing lots of similar posts on other forums. Perhaps the magnets are interfering and Apple just want you to get a Magsafe charger instead?

(Had to select iPhone 11 Pro Max for what device am I referring too as 12 Pro Max not listed)

Try a different power adapter - I bought a wireless charger and was having the same issues, not charging iPhone 12 Pro Max, EarPods and Apple Watch. So I switched the power adapter and used a ‘Anker’ brand Quick Charge 3.0 which solved the issue of the wireless charging for all three devices.

It’s the Mophie 3:1 which I’m waiting for UPS to collect. It would work some of the time on my wife’s iPhone 12 Pro and would occasionally work on the max but unacceptable for long term use and told Apple support as such. Spent ages with support checking phone remotely as well.

There are to many complaints on this issue and not just on this forum to say it’s the Qi chargers at fault, certainly no issues with the 10 XS max I had previously. Apple seem to have maybe concentrated on mag safe, in my opinion, and with the inevitable delays a due to COVID possibly robust legacy testing of Qi charging was not top of the pile? Who knows what the answer is, Apple seems not to know or turning a blind eye to something which may not be fixed until IPhone 13.

If it works for you then “good for you” but the rest of us with ongoing issues will pursue the matter until some sort of resolution. Perhaps Apple will give us all official options on charging solutions other than mag safe?

I see many comments that the problem is certain chargers. This does not seem to be the case for me. I have various types of wireless chargers around my home and when the phone decides it doesn’t want to wirelessly charge...none of them work. I have updated my phone to 14.3 iOs and am still having the same issue. My phone will wirelessly charge on any of my chargers and then randomly it will no longer wirelessly charge. This happened in the middle of the night last night. The phone charged to 100% while on the wireless charger and then stopped charging. So, up one waking this morning, the phone was at 85% after being on the charger all night. (I checked the phone at 3am and it was 100%.) Each time this happens, I reboot the phone and it starts charging correctly. The problems occurs with or without my case (purchased from Apple) on the phone. This is extremely frustrating! Apple please comment and let us know what you are working on with this!!!!

That makes sense. I too had cases ready when the phone arrived from Amazon. But I've never been too worried about waterproofing my phone, so my cases are typically not as thick. I don't any of us at the time grasped how MagSafe would alter the relationship we had with previous chargers. But it certainly did.

I like holster cases and find cases from Encased to be quite good. Here's the one I use:

This case works perfectly with the Geekera Charging Stand

I previously reported that shutting down and repowering sorted out the problem. It did, for about 24 hours only. I am now having to reset more and more frequently. Apple have just run a remote diagnostic and confirmed no hardware issues. As previously noted, they acknowledge that many owners are now experiencing this issue. I am awaiting their Expert Support to take over my case.
