WiFi Speeds (iPhone 12 Pro Max)
Anybody else having slow or inconsistent WiFi speeds on iPhone 12 Pro Max? I know it’s not my WiFi because all my other devices work as usual including my iPhone X which is still have/upgraded from.

As others have suggested, are you sure that you do not have a VPN enabled?
Also, this sounds a lot like what would see if you are connected to your WiFi router on the 2.4 GHz band rather than the 5 GHz band. Some WiFi routers have separate SSIDs for the two frequencies, so if yours does, make sure you are connected to the right one.
Hi , having same problem iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 getting slow WiFi connections around 140mbs vs iPhone XS and X , iPad around 485mbs on my Linksys mash network , I did also all the troubleshooting like network reset on both iPhones and on my wireless network , rebooting the cable modem and not much change for me ......
No I am not on a VPN and I am connected to the 5 GHz band. Two other devices: an XS Max and a 12 Pro are sitting 2 feet away, have the same configuration (that I verified are identical), they are connected to the same router, and test at triple the speed of the 12 Max.
Appreciate the questions. I’m going to open a ticket with support and that probably won’t solve much but there is definitely something going on with the phone - not the network.
There has been a ton of feedback on this post since it started and it all seems (in my opinion) to point to a definite issue with the WiFi radio/modem which hopefully will be addressed with a firmware fix. The speed issue is going to vary from user to user and real world vs advertised speeds is always going to have some sort of variance, but I think all are in agreeance that there is an issue. I have noticed that I am not having as much of an issue with my device (iPhone 12 Pro Max) not connecting to the correct WiFi band (5 Ghz v 2.4 Ghz) so there is a positive. Here's to hoping for a full resolution soon.
I posted some time back that my 12 Pro Max gets about half the speed as my old 10 pro max. I have an apple Time capsule with both a 5 ghz and 2.4 ghz network. My MacBook Pro and IPad get almost twice the speed as the 12 Pro Max. All the suggestions from this thread have not improved the performance.
People here were complaining of slow WiFi speeds. The 12 Pro Max will do mid-500 Mbps down all day on 802.11ac routers.
So few people have 802.11ax/WiFi 6 routers (or clients for that matter) it's not really worth worrying about at the moment.
The original post complained about AX and 5G/LTE speeds. It’s the whole point of getting an iPhone 12. Who cares amount AC speeds. I got 500-600 normally on AC but I’m only getting Max that on AX which I should be getting around 800+.

No mention of ax (or 5G.)
People are also comparing speeds with their iPads and other devices which also are not ax.
WiFi 6 makes huge difference. I upgraded my home wifi with Unifi Dream machine pro with three AP wifi 6. It is completely different story now. This show that iPhone 12 models share the same issue and that is problem with older wifi routers. Problem is still there and it has to be addressed soon.
This is extremely frustrating..after spending so much for this phone! Please Apple do something!!
I literally have 3 devices standing side by side on my table:
1) iPhone 12 Pro Max
2) iPad Pro 11
3) Google Pixel XL 2
They are connected to the same network.
If I run speedtest (not at the same time, but in sequence) I have the following results:
1) 37.4 Mbps / 25,5Mbps (download/upload)
2) 88.3 Mbps / 30.6 Mbps
3) 89.4 Mbps / 30.6 Mbps
The server and apps are exactly the same. As you can see the iPad and the Pixel are pretty much giving the same results, but the iPhone is literally bad (and it feels sluggish also while browsing and in general usage).
Not that one. Unifi Drwam Machine Pro

The iPhone 12 is basically a bug-filled phone, green screens, Wi-Fi and 5G slow, MagSafe interference with medical devices...
Apple has came out with many great new products this year, but they've not done a good job with quality and also quantity (they constantly run low on supply and need like 5-6 weeks for any new product to ship).
Anyone know what the fix is had my iPhone since release 12 pro max I only get half of my ASUS ax11000 available bandwidth is it hardware as I still don’t have fix 6 months on from reporting this if you have not reported you need to as problem is still here
My 12 Pro Max is consistently slower on WiFi than my 2020 IPhone SE.
I tested 4 other 12 Pro Maxes in Best Buy stores, and they were all consistently slower than my iPhone SE.
Hopefully Apple can fix this with an update.
Maybe I should move to Denver. As noted above, I’ve basically eliminated the router as the culprit. There’s no way other apple devices can fetch higher speeds and the iPhone 12 Pro Max can consistently fall way short (under 10% of the what my WiFi plan entails). I understand there are nah variables at play here, and your screenshot is exactly what the iPhone SE gets on the same network.
