WiFi Speeds (iPhone 12 Pro Max)

Anyone know what the fix is had my iPhone since release 12 pro max I only get half of my ASUS ax11000 available bandwidth is it hardware as I still don’t have fix 6 months on from reporting this if you have not reported you need to as problem is still here

Maybe I should move to Denver. As noted above, I’ve basically eliminated the router as the culprit. There’s no way other apple devices can fetch higher speeds and the iPhone 12 Pro Max can consistently fall way short (under 10% of the what my WiFi plan entails). I understand there are nah variables at play here, and your screenshot is exactly what the iPhone SE gets on the same network.

You can’t, I asked. They claim we have to wait for a fix. They also said that the fact that it works, just not well, will most likely delay any rush for a fix. My guess...the first 5G phone having network issues isn’t surprising. Disappointing.

This is super annoying, you bought an expensive device hoping for a good connection and end up stressing on a poor performance. Then rather than using it I am forced to stick on my old handset from 2019

I am facing the same issue since I got my new phone. I am having an iphone 12 pro. And the wifi speed on the device is very slow. All other devices work absolutely fine on the same wifi network. Have been facing this issue since 5 to 6 months now and its getting irritating. The phone works fine on mobile network the issue is only with wifi network. Hope this is fixed with some updates soon.

You e been writing a lot about how we don’t know how to use our phones and how it’s not meant to be fast. It’s irritating. All I know is that my husband’s older iPhone gets better speeds than I do. And that in many places I am better off turning off my WiFi off and going cellular because the WiFi is too slow and times out. I would not buy this phone again if I had a choice.

I have other devices, my Macbook could use the internet at max capacity, the rest of the people in this household with non-Apple devices too. Just my iPhone 12 wasn’t able to get the connection right.

As far as cellular signals, support for different LTE frequency bands may be all the difference.

For example, for the iPhone 12 Pro:

FDD‑LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, 32, 66, 71)

For the iPhone 11 Pro:

FDD‑LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 29, 30, 66, 71)

So as an example, if you have an iPhone 11 Pro, you may see no issues whatsoever using the 11 Pro but no signal with your 12 Pro if the base station controller assigns your iPhone 12 Pro to use FDD-LTE band 28 or 32 and the tower isn't properly configured/optimized for them.

This has been done on my end. I also turned off wifi assist and all my 2.4 g settings are off, forcing my phone to connect to 5 g only.

I tested the same as you with the same results. This is inexcusable from Apple. Waiting to see if their will be a software change as I cannot believe this is hardware related.

Also getting slow WiFi every other device is getting full speed using ax1100 ASUS

I have the same problem. Im trying to get even voice call over wifi with my new iphone 12 pro max Its not good at least like my iphone 11. Thinking if its an issue with hardware or software

None of these troubleshooting work. I and I am sure others tried all this before we posted here but thanks though ;)

Mine is an iPhone 12 mini with a non mesh network. I agree I hope a software issue can resolve this issue.
