iPhone 12 Pro Max screen has yellow tint

Same thing happens to my 12 pro max.....it’s really disappointing paying 1400€ and getting a yellowish screen...my previous phone “xiaomi redmi note pro 8 “ has better screen in all aspects!!! And bought it for 200€!!! Wtf apple !!!???? For what exactly did i pay 1400€!?

iPhone 4 delivered. Worse than #3.

1,2&4 were bad. Not bright and yellow screen. #3 is bad on True Tone. But acceptable with True Tone off.

#3 is the only one as bright as my iPhone Xs. And my Xs True Tone “just worked”, like apple products always have till now.

What a mess Apple.

if I’d pay 1/3 the price, fair enough, but it’s a very premium product. how can they fail at something they got right for years?

Ya which issue.... I am seeing multiple

1. yellow screens
2. green screens
3. True Tone too yellow
4. paper Looking yellow on my 12 mini
5. black flickering
6. weird coating on the screen that shows lighter or darker depending on how you angle the screen (looks yellow) when screen off under white light)

did I miss anything?

sounds like a general cop out samsung will be the next phone since apple quality has apparently taken a ****.

I have the pacific blue one and so do 2 of my friends. I seem to be the only one having yellow tint issues, the other 2 doesnt care or notice at all.... my other friend has the graphite one and said he has no issues at all. no yellow tinting for that matter.

What’s the point with returning a phone and get another one with the same issue? My wife’s 12 pro, my sister 12 pro and my mother in laws 12 Hans this issue to. They don’t care but I do. This has to be a global problem that apple should fix immediately

Should be but they will do nothing, because as you said, most people don’t care. I care and is why I’m sticking with my iPhone X for some months and will try again then to see if they have fixed anything. Not much faith

What I see is a warmer color in comparison to all the other bluer screens. Now that I've had my 12 Pro Max since launch day, I find I prefer the warmer white as opposed to the bluer white. Photos render perfect on my phone, exactly matching what I see in the real. Videos play perfectly as well.

I do not, nor have I ever liked True Tone, so it's never on on my phone.

Yes, i understand that. Issue I have is I stupidly sold on my iPhone 10. I like the Apple ecosystem. I’m stuck - will lose money buying another 10 and mine was very carefully looked after and can’t get a new one. Lose lose.

I could ask you the same question. Why are you posting here? Do you not realize this is a user to user ONLY forum. Apple isn't here. Apple isn't reading your posts, unless you violate the terms of use, which are read by Forum Hosts and removed for violating TOU. By posting here, Apple isn't going to do anything for you or anyone else who isn't happy.

When you purchase the forum, you can decide who can post and say what. Until then, you need to accept not everyone is unhappy and that is precisely why I've posted here. I'm not unhappy. You can disagree with me and that's fine. New people coming to this thread should be able to see not everyone feels the same about the screen on their phone.

As to finding it odd to post when others aren't happy. That's an unfortunate view. Not everyone is unhappy. Why should the only posters be people complaining? Isn't any other view other than unhappiness valid? What you're saying is if we don't agred with the complainers, we have no place here. That's a mighty myopic view.

Unfortunately it is not a workaround for me, it destroys all colors and you lose a lot of brightness.

Regarding tolerance ranges: It depends whose tolerance range you mean. It is definitely outside of mine. ;)

True-to-life isn’t based on interpretation. Compare a white paper, or snow in any environment to the iphone’s “white” (or whatever it can be called #FFF3DE).

So anytime someone posts they like the colors of the new screens, like I do, we're Apple employees? Get over yourself. Not everyone has to be up in arms over the warmth of the screens on iPhone 12. Other people can have a differing view or preferrance.
