iPhone 12 Pro Max screen has yellow tint

So leave it off...? If yours is white congratulations.

True Tone has been working great in my X, my 2020 iPad Pro and MacBook Pro 13. The problem here is the display, not True Tone.

From the discussion I had it was yellow screens, halo effects showing yellow, grey and green and a problem that True Tone impacts the colour too much and makes it yellow.

I’m in the same situation. Returned 5 iPhone 12 Pro Max because yellow screen. All the exact same yellowing.

I come from an iPhone X, also OLED, with perfect whites.

I have a feeling that Apple won’t be able to fully fix this issue but work around it. $1200 back in my pocket ,

Why you didn’t purchase the Apple store online? You can return without a problem

Not going by only this forum. If you Google it or look for videos on YouTube (and check the links others have posted), this issue is much bigger than just this forum.

Perhaps share a screenshot so we can see what you're describing. I didn't compare my iPhone 12 Pro Max to my iPhone 11 Pro Max before selling it and looking at mine and my moms iPhone 12 Pro Max I don't see a difference to realize there is a problem (might be better off not noticing lol).

Same problem with my iphone 12 pro. Got it on the launch date. Really disappointed by apple.

Did anyone check the screen with “True Tone On” in sunlight/bright light?

Truetone adjusts the yellow tint perfectly and iPhone looks normal.

Just wondering if in that case would it be Manufacturing Defect or Software?

Maybe it isn't specifically an iPhone 12 or OLED problem. I bought an iPhone 11 last week and noticed the display colors are yellowish/greenish when compared to my old iPhone 7 and my MacBook Pro 2015 with Retina. I also compared it to some friends' iPhone 11 phones and mine is the only one that looks that way. The colors don't look right even with true tone, night shift and color filters disabled. I played around with all kinds of settings and still got no luck. I've never been so unsatisfied with Apple.

Way to harsh the mellow broskillet. i don’t see anything regarding screen tweaks or fixes in the release notes for the 14.3 beta, I figured that would be a obvious announcement. thanks for the link, people keep posting anyway though. more feedback

That might work for the serious yellow/green tint true tone looking issue. I think the 12 mini has a different hue with the displays in general. It’s probably the vendor they used. i went to tmobile and the other mini was the same as mine. super light paper yellow look... I give up.

I received a new phone with the same problem. G0ND prefix serial number. Same problem. My old one with the yellowing had prefix F2LD. Anyone else have a phone with a different prefix that also has the problem or is it just these two prefixes?
