iPhone 12 camera flicker on video recording

Yes bro! same problem here in iphone 12 pro. It flickers also in outdoor (daylight, snow and cloudy, sunny). I return it to the store to fix the camera flickering issue but they replace it with a new one. I try the camera of the new one but still the same, it flickers again.

As a content creator I am sad and disappointed on IP12 pro camera issue, if one of my viewers watch my videos flickering, and one of them has an Illness called Epilepsy it's dangerous for them.

I think all of the Iphone 12 - Pro Max has common issue. I watch different kind of reviews in youtube, try to search it, so many issue on camera flickering. I also notice the flickering on their videos in outdoor. Hopefully apple fix this camera hardware issue, because we spent a lot of money on the phone, because I know apple knows the issue before they sell it.

I don't have access to other devices, so if you can (not) reproduce it using an iPhone 11 under the exact same lighting conditions of the exact same subject at the exact same time, that would be an interesting data point.

The flickering issue I only noticed with iPhone 12.My previous phone was XS.I mostly shoot outside videos.All my videos on the beach with IPhone 12 flickers especially when I am moving.or go to a mountains and do the same with snow.Flickers all over..I started believe this is a hardware issue since Apple did not fix it after so many months and updates

agree but problem wouldn't be solved by apple, its a fact. They probably don't care about Europe where is 50 Hz as for many years and have never made any iPhone with frame 50

How about Android phones? Do they have the same problem? I use it many years ago for 6 months and wasn't happy and switched forever to iPhones as for my opinion it was simplest and understandable phones especially when Steve Jobs was alive. After he died iPhones started to have more similarities as androids phones, especially design

The flicker that you see in the video on snow, sky, beach...ect is the video stabilization, if you hold the iPhone and don’t move it you will not see the flickering... and the stabilization of this iPhone is really good.... because I use when I run and it’s work well

I am not sure its a hardware or software issue. Is it happening in other iphone 12 series? It doesn’t happen on telephoto and wide angle lens even at 4k 60fps so i feel its hardware . Idk. Apple hasn’t told anything about this so I don’t expect a fix

I do agree with you. Before 12PM i was using xs max it had no problems at all it was a perfect phone. Display was good camera was not having these flickering issues. But this new 12PM have green tint and dim glow and also this camera issue. I regret selling my xs max to buy this, is should have waited and year, i think last year Apple quality control was very bad due to COVID-19 time. Very disappointed apple.

I have tested outside too. I believe this is a software issue. I wait for the update and check again. If I noticed again I need to change it.

I think that‘s what the hardware sends to the OS, that‘s why it looks the same in every app. I doubt that the camera module is updateable.

What I noticed also if you are moving the flickering is more noticeable .See below.Turning off auto FPS does not make any difference
