Is there any issue with sound in ringer volume? Me n my husband got new phone. My phone is loud for calls as expected but my husband phone sound is very low. Verified all the settings looks good. Looks like issue in device, any advice would be appreciated..!!

Found out what the problem was.

Go to settings, then Accessibility.

select Face ID & Attention.

in the middle you’ll see “Attention Aware Features”. Turn this off.

if you read it you’ll see it lowers the volume for some alerts. I tried 2 alarms and had a friend call me twice and it’s normal again. Can’t imagine why Apple added this feature! But my phone is normal for now. Hope this helps.

Did not work for text tones. It was working beautifully on my iphone 12 mini up until today. I have an appointment at apple store and I am within my 14 days so I think I am going to return this and go to an Iphone 11. I spent time on the phone with apple tech today and we could not find out why it just started happening on its own. Their tech said they have not had any complaints about it, but as far as I have read they have had plenty.

Go to settings >> sound and heptics >> turn off change with buttons >> now just above slide the ringer and alart to maximum. Then ur sound will be louder always, if u want reduce u can reduce from same slider.

for music u can lower or rise from side buttons and now the ringer volume will not effect by the side buttons.

if still problem is there already I answer the second step which now I forgot but am sure u will find it.

Wow that should not have to be done. I went to the store and they could not figure it out especially with the text tone doing that. I was within my 14 days, so I turned in the iPhone 12 mini and got an 11. They need to fix that issue. Why have face recognition if it causes problems? Like I said it was my text alert that all of a sudden was problematic. Thx

My question is when is Apple going to fix this we shouldn’t have to turn off the special face id feature while holding which they obviously didn’t thoroughly test & I shouldn’t have to turn off adjusting volume with buttons to hear my phone ring and get text alerts—never had this issue with earlier phones and here we’ve all upgraded and can’t hear our alerts even with hepatics volume set to highest. But thank you everyone for giving solutions to us.
