Deleted emails not appearing in bin - MacOS Big Sur

Hi

Since upgrading to MacOS Big Sur, deleted emails no not appear in the bin.

I have 2 mail accounts in Apple Mail. Prior to upgrading to Big Sur, deleted emails went into the bin.

Since upgrading, deleted emails seem to disappear.

There are a few emails in the bin, however they were deleted before upgrading to Big Sur.

I checked Mail Preferences > Account Behaviours and both mailboxes are set to move deleted items to the bin. But they don't.

How do I fix this - is it a known problem?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.0

We got the following advice from an Apple Support online chat and it worked for us. In Mail go to Favourites at the top of the sidebar, click the + sign in the circle and you should get a new window that says "Add Favourite". Use the drop down menu to add "All Bins" or "All Trash" (it may vary according to region). Click OK and this should solve the problem. All past and future deleted e-mails should now appear in this new folder.
