Has anyone had issues with the rear glass cracking mine broke very easily by placing the iPhone 12 pro and iPhone 12 pro Max back to back to check sizes.

If you feel that is the case, make an appointment to have your phone examined by Apple.
They are trained to be able to tell the difference between a stress crack or manufacturing defect and damage due to impact, and stress cracks or defects do occasionally occur as they do with any other product that uses glass.

Apple does not make "demo" iPhone 12s with plastic backs.
It may have been a non-functional plastic mockup the retailer had made themselves.

So the phone can be charged wirelessly. Wireless charging would not work metal to wireless charger.
Apparently they use glass on the rear of the iPhone 12 Pro Max for more efficient charging.
Does the glass crack from possible flexing of the phone? Like when when installing a case?

My 12 Pro is in a case for 4 months now and I dropped it more than 2 feet and the back glass is isn’t cracked.
Mine too. to **** fragile
It needs to be glass for Qi charging to work.
Given the iPhone 12 has been out over a year, were it that big an issue, we would know by now.
