Is anyone having issues with loading and executing Turbotax for mac 2020?
Turbo Tax and Big Sur: This is the fix I used to get Turbo Tax to "Run" on Big Sur. 1) Installed on another Mac not using Big Sur, 2) Entered the Turbo Tax License Number, 3) Turbo Tax then did the updates, 4) Copied the Turbo Tax App from the Application Folder to a CD, 5) From CD Copied over to my Mac running Big Sur - it then loaded and ran without problems.
SUMMARY: Load it on a different mac NOT running Big Sur - do the updates - then copy over to the Mac running Big Sur. Luckily my daughters Mac was on Mohave. Lot easier than redoing the OS
The minimum requirements for the TT Premier 2020 as stated on my packaging are "macOS Mojave 10.14 or later. To me that seems to mean anything newer than that. Isn't that correct?
Thanks for your quick response. I am still working the problem. Going to safe mode did solve the problem but when returning to regular mode the problem remains. I did turn off the virus protection software Intego but that didn't help. I reinstalled MacOS Big Sur but when trying TurboTax this morning, the problem remains. I have not discovered any other similar problems with other Apps. Quicken for Mac runs as expected. Not sure where to go now but will think on it today. If you have anymore ideas I would appreciate hearing them. Thanks again.
I just tried to install TurboTax Home & Business on my Mac. I am running Big Sur. Download and installation was fine. When I try and open the app, it does nothing. Any ideas?
I have attempted to uninstall and reinstall.... still does not work.
Hello, I also have problems running Turbotax 2019 and 2020 on my MAC, the program is not running and they cannot be opened specifically those two years. I have called Turbo Tax but so far they have not solved this problem, if someone has a solution please share it?
Trying to download Turbotax premier purchased at Sam's club onto MacAir202 with OS Big Sur 11.1 Get message The fololowing disk images couldn't be opened m_turbotax_1040_ image not recognized. So frutrating. Tried yesterday with son's turbotax CD and Catalina OS and got as far as installing but not fully. So upgraded OS to BIg Sur and tried downloading. Now what?
I couldn't download turbo tax deluxe or premiere on my 2020macair with BigSur 11.1 last week. And then, without doing anything different the download worked. I wasn't using the CD. Sorry I can't help you. I was ready to take Big Sur off and go back to Catalina which would be a nightmare. Had backed up my machine and then tried one more time. Hope you resolve your problem!!
Are you saying no virus protection is needed for MacOS Big Sur and Mac's in general?

I have this problem also. TurboTax quits unexpected. I have no 3rd party virus, anything apps installed on my Mac. Very frustrated right now. Are there any other resolutions out there?

I gave up. It does work on Big Sur with the most recent updates on my Macbook Pro, so not sure what the deal is.
FYI I had an update alert today for 11.2.1 I turned off the auto update feature but am curious if anyone updated and if so did anything TT related change?
I'm thinking the actual TT packaging is more accurate than Amazon....
