Hello, not sure if I should ask this here, or on the Big Sur board, but I'll start here.
In the new Music app on Big Sur, I cannot seem to change the order (i.e. "drag") songs around in the "Play Next" feature.
Has anyone else experienced this? I've had zero problems with this for years, until this week when I upgraded.
Is there something new I need to do?

This must have been removed already from the update but I tried and the drag option is no longer available

Why not? It's a fundamental need for music playing software!

For now, we will submit a feedback request on this to have it added back to the Music app.

For interest, the ability to drag and drop on Mac Music is still shown as a feature on the Music help website as of this morning:
Actually, this isn't a bad idea. CLEARLY, Apple is not keeping an eye on this thread/issue. If anyone has any recommendation for a Mac-based music library app that harnesses the ability to keep(/transfer from iTunes) ratings for songs as well as the ability to stream to multiple speakers via Airplay (and Airplay-compatible Sonos speakers) - then please let me know! If I can find an alternative to this neglected Apple software solution, I'll take it at this point!
Absolutely useless. Why has this not become an issue in wider context, ie picked up by Mac media/ commentators/ blogs etc?
There is zero benefit to apple if this is deliberate, and if it’s an oversight/bug, well… my goodness.
I'm having this same issue only I'm still using Yosemite 10.10.5 and iTunes 12.8.1.3 on an old Mac Mini.
Seems overnight I can't reorder songs in any playlist. It's been fine for years. Now it's not.
I'm moving my question to it's own thread. I don't want to hijack or confuse the issues.
I have the same problem (amongst others) in the Music app on Big Sur. It is not possible to move items around in the "Play Next" queue.

No joy here either. It's a vital fix for me to be able to move (drag) items around in the playing next menu. It's terrible without it.
Same issue. It shows you picking up the song but won't let you actually drag it around within the cue.
Same here - I have noticed this *BUG* ever since installing Big Sur. I too was hopeful that the latest update would correct it. It did not.
This is a dumb, dumb, dumb bug, Apple - please fix!
if this is the case not only is it petty and silly, but makes no sense at all - what's the justification for it?

I cannot move songs up or down in the Playing Next List on the right hand side
Really hoping that someone at Apple takes notice of this thread, realizes that it's a goofy/terrible bug and takes care of it in the next update. Fingers crossed!
